Dedicated Servers and Hit Validation
Hey guys,
as its release I thought dedicated servers were a great idea but Im more and more done with it and I wished we could have back peer to peer connection. Why? For example...
*lunge attacks, that doesnt connect
*cancelled grab animations (!!!)
*hits through a pallet/ corner
*triggered DH which doesnt work
*shocks with doc that doesnt prevent survivors from vaulting
*speared survivors that can throw pallets
*billy chainsaw hits/ hatchets/ blinks/ gunshots that doesnt connect
...
There are even a lot of more problems...
My ping is usually 20-30 ms. These problems mostly occurs if Im playing against people with bad pings (+80ms) Is it just me or does I get punished for having a good internet connection?
These problems exist for years now. When will they be adressed? What about u guys?

Yes you get punished for having good internet connection. What time of the day do you typically play? My games get really bad latency issues in the middle of the night but during the day it seems to be ok.

I usually play in the evenings between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Im from middle europe and I get often matched with people from Russia. Idk why, cuz there are actually enough people playing DBD in my country :/

I have great internet connection as you can see and I play with a wired connection but I always have very high pings (130+ms) and it’s all BHVR’s fault. And it’s not just me but everyone in my region (West Asia). For some reason BHVR thought it would be a good idea to have all the servers in Asia be located in the East. Asia is a huge continent, instead of having a server in West Asia and East Asia like the US has US West and US East servers they decided on East Asia only and have 0 servers in West Asia, not even 1 which is really all we need.
That’s why I sometimes get connected to East Asia servers and sometimes Europe, I play with people from Russia, France, Spain, US, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Singapore, Australia, Norway, Sweden. All over the world :)

Yeah that really sounds rough. Playing in NA West a lot of times I get matched up with killers from Asia. I don't know if it's people in East Asia getting connected to the other closest server or what.

The problem is the matchmaking has no regiolock many i get as eu player na or Asia server for no reason. And many people doesn't care about ping they want only to play. And same as killer many times i get na server instead eu.

This is weird. I really dont know why they shouldnt spend a server to west asia, cuz there are living more than enough people. I feel sorry for u :(

I don’t know why they’re ignoring their playerbase in West Asia. They have the money but oh well. Nothing we can do, we’ve been playing like that for years :)

Honestly I rather play against people from Russia then against people from the Arabics.
Whenever I see people from there I just dodge the lobby.
Their ping is worst than anything else, so high that they get barely hit when they should.
Had a game where the lowest ping from them was 250 ms and the highest went almost to 900 ms.
I can tell you that it was a very fun match, for them at least.
