Survivor portrait orientation

So, we all know wha't going on with the new HUD, and I wanted to ask:

Considering THIS WIP mock-up, do you prefer the survivor portraits to be arranged vertically like in the screenshot so that the survivors names don't break, or would you prefer to have them arranged horizontally, even if that means that in some cases the names would break?

(by "broken names" I mean when a name is too long and need to be abbreviated, like instead of reading "Claudette Morel_02" you see something like "Claudett...")

I honestly wouldn't mind either way as long as there was some clear indicator for the Killer that they're chasing a particular survivor. Might help prevent accidental tunnelling. Especially in situations where people are playing the same survivor. Perhaps a survivors portrait could light up orange or blue or something for the Killer's pov only when they chase that particular survivor.
