Killers should be immune to flashlights by default EXCEPT...
When you pick up a survivor, THAT'S when you can be flashlight stunned, using the flashlight for what how it was intended. And this way, lightborn isn't completely thrown away (although it seems I'm the only one that ever uses it, lol)

Why though? I squeal with joy everytime I see multiple flashlights in a lobby. It just means I'll have a bunch of people chasing me instead of doing gens.

no

I love seeing a full party of flashlights. That when you bring Franklins. When you knock that thing out of their hands it's like Golumn. "LOST, MY PRECIOUS IS LOST"

If you're using lightborn why in the world would you care? Flashlights are easily avoidable and more often than not you will catch a flashlighting survivor faster than one who runs away during a pallet break because they're losing seconds to get a blind

I just want to run something else and not get clickety clicked to #########, running lightborn, you notice how many survivors get a flashlight from a chest, it's more common than u think

^ this.
The "best" ones are those who try this injured without Iron Will. Basically a down for their 500 Boldness-Points.

It's too easy to counter for this idea to even be considered , and if they want to waste their time clickety clicking then let them because that means they aren't on gens and they're gonna be an easy 4 man slug , if they choose to play glow worm simulator then that's totally on them

Flashlights are already the worst item in the game and you want them to be even worse!

The idea behind this was to just help with the toxic 4 man SWF groups out there, if it doesn't matter to much, I don't see the problem implementing this

If survivors are wasting time blinding you at pallets, they aren't getting distance which is beneficial to the killer.
I can't think of a situation where survivors going for flash blinds outside of trying to save a survivor being picked up is that immensely helpful.

Exactly, it's just BM, and I feel like this change would stop bming, especially to new killers who don't know what they're doing

I'm laughing so hard at this omg. It was hilarious to imagine. Thank you LMAO

Good question... why tho?
50% of the flashlights are used to blind you on pallets, just to be a dick since most of them wont even try to use the blindness duration to actually try to hide, 40% will never be used ever, and the rest are actually used on grabs. (thos stats are totally legit and not made up btw).
And while I'm the first to say that survivors are EXTREMELY toxic, letting them bm you on pallets with a cheap blind isn't so bad that it should be removed, especially since it actually open some mind games on both sides, and often just make thos survivors wast time and play badly.
Also, nothing is funnier than pulling a lightborn on a pallet blinder and just walk to them and slap them in the face.

I very much doubt flashlights were made simply for flashlight saves, as you suggest. If you use a headset, after been blinded at a pallet/window you can track the survivor, so it's actually better that you are blinded so they don't get so much distance.
Also using a flashlight to blind a killer isn't "BM" as you said. It would only be BM if they were clicking it all the time. Try to track survivors better when flashed and you can use it to your advantage. Remember to look straight up/down to avoid chain blinds.

That would just make flashlights worse. Flashlights at pallets isn't as bad though. You can hear survivors injured sounds or foot steps. And they don't get very far if they flashlight you.

But the loading screen literally describes flashlight saves, it doesn't say anything about "you can be a ######### to the killer also"

flashlights are extremely easy to play around and avoid
literally the only time they do anything is when they blind you at a pallet and even then with a headset just use sound to track them even with the new blind sound effect.
last time someone got a fl save on me was ages ago probably around the time the twins were released.

Uh no.

Not so easy to avoid when you already kiss the wall during picking up and they STILL manage to blind you, although they are not even on your screen. Had that happen to me quite some times recently. So aggravating!

No.
I love blinding a gunslinger at a pallet and watch him shoot at nothing and then walk into a wall for 2 seconds.

Anybody wish flashlights served an actual purpose in the match besides frustrating killers? Nobody uses the flashlight like an actual flashlight.

Making killers immune to flashlights has nothing to do with clicking, they would still be able to click it.

I'm using a decent headset and I don't understand how people can follow survivors after being blinded.
The blind ''burning'' sound seems so loud to me that I can't hear anything else. Kinda like spirit's phasing sounds...
I just can't seem to track people with these. Don't get me started on the chase music over everything.

I mean... let's not kid ourselves here, the overwhelming majority of survivors my bring the flashlight with the intention of using it for that sweet and elusive save, but most just end up using it to blind the killer over pallets, and most dont even try use the blinding period to hide or try to throw off the killer, and let's be honest, they dont even do it for the meager amount of point it will give them.
They just do it to fck with the killer, even when it comes at the cost of a couple of seconds they could have used to run away.
That's actually only true if you face low tier and low addon flashlights. As soon as you start to punch a bit higher in term of quality the flashlight can be devastating, you can easily snipe the killer from 15 meters away with the right addons, and I have been blinded more than onece while facing a wall by survivor that were literally NOT visible on my screen.
So no, just because bad survivors using bad flashlight poorly are easy to avoid it doesn't mean that all flashlights are easy to avoid, far from it.

As soon as I see a lobby full of flashlights, no matter what killer I'm playing I switch out whatever perk for LightBorn.

I never run Lightborn, and I get flashed every now and again. I hate it.
I would never want flashlight stuns to be relegated to specific functions. For the Survivor, it's a high-risk-high-reward option, and comes with the bonus issue of possibly making the Killer decide the Survivor looks better on a hook and admired for a hook phase or two. It can and often DOES bite the flashlight user in the butt to stay that close to someone with a big knife, because that big knife might decide their upper intestines are looking pretty smoochable.

Flashlights are probably one of the most balanced items on survivor side.

If I was dumb enough to let myself get Flashlight Saved, that's my B.
If someone's blinding me at pallets and windows, congrats, dork, I have ears.
If someone's desperately positioning for a flashlight save, they're not doing anything.
Flashlights are fine.

"When you pick up a Survivor..."
I really don't hope you mean what i think you mean.
Which is that it works during the forced animation.

I personally love when infectious fright goes off and a little rat or two close by scream and start to scurry away lol. I can’t believe some people still fall for the fake pallet break too. Literally stand there and waste half their Beamer trying to blind you while you’re just giving them the old double chin lmao

And then one of them makes a whiny thread crying about how Franklin's Demise is overpowered and needs to be removed from the game.
1 -
Lol me too
0 -
Sorry, just like when you're carrying the survivor
0 -
Then it means you've won twice in a single game!
1 -
I disagree. But continuous blindness requires immunity.
0 -
Oh thank goodness.
0 -
As long as they make it easier to flashlight save like it was before the nerf I'm fine with that.
0 -
Just as funny as a survivor going for the pallet blind while injured against a plague loaded with corrupt bile. xD
0 -
This is a nerf to an item that doesn’t need it bruh
0 -
Well, Light-born got buffed so tbh, no point in that since another way is just running franklin's.
