who would win in a 1v1 fight? the Oni or Pyramid head?

Pyramid Head would more likely win. If he was invited to the realm instead of captured by the entity, then I think that signifies just how strong he is.
Oni would however put up a good fight.

Pyramid head. He has range, Oni doesn't even have a power untill he gets at least one hit

If Oni had access to blood shortly before the fight, I can see him going into rage mode and putting a few dents into Pyramid Head's Pyramid Head.
However I'd love to know how big Pyramid's Head actual Head is, I'm assuming it doesn't fill that big triangle, so maybe he'd just tank the hits. So maybe Oni would have more chance going for his unarmoured body with his sword.
PH has an obvious ranged advantage with his power and also has a larger weapon, but I'd imagine Oni to be the better sword fighter and could work around Pyramid's slow attack.
Honestly this one is tough to call!

Oni -while incredibly strong and a vicious warrior- was an ordinary man physically whereas Pyramid Head is technically immortal.
Once James Sunderland recognized his terrible act Pyramid Head -a manifestation of his guilt, (sexual) frustration and desire for punishment- commited suicide symbolically.
Up to that point Pyramid Head was basically taking no damage from anything including gun shots.
CONCLUSION: Pyramid Head would kill Oni literally without taking damage.

I think Pyramid Head would win. The two seem similar in strength, but from what I understand about Silent Hill lore, Pyramid Head feeds off of negative emotions, which I assume Kanzan has a lot of.

To answer your question about PH's head, no one know exactly what his head looks like under the helmet, it could be a malformed version of James Sunderlands' head for all we know. The creator never told us other than just "a head" and that's it.

PH v Oni would not even be close. PH would win for sure

I'd definitely say Oni assuming he's going into battle with Blood Fury (because otherwise he'd be handicapped).
My reasoning for this is because:
- Oni is stronger & faster when in rage: Oni can 1-shot you while Pyramid Head takes 2 hits (ranged or not) while Oni can also either dodge PPheads hits or charge at him with Demon Dash.
- If Oni misses an attack, he could definitely get punished for it but I imagine it shouldn't be too hard to land a hit since PPhead has such a swole body, how could ya miss it?
- Oh yeah.. I honestly don't see Oni vaulting pallets & windows anytime soon.. so that would render PPheads power practically useless if Oni has half a brain when fighting him (not running in straight lines/baiting his attack). Not to mention, I'd doubt Oni would fit in PPheads cages xD
I dunno, I honestly think this question is a no-brainer but that's just me.
(I kept my answer as close to DBD as possible, rather than actual Silent Hill lore. Just saying.)

if their powers are included Id have to say pyramid head. Oni would have to just outpower him. Oni's sword wouldn't be able to go for any kind of good shot with that pyramid helmet covering most vital areas. The club would be a cool option but like, I don't see him doing enough damage by just bashing with it against someone that massive.
PH's giant ######### sword would bust past oni's sword no problem. Oni could defend with the club but I dont think trying to overpower pyramid head would be that effective.
If we are assuming Oni still needs someone else's blood to even use blood fury, then he's going to need to use his sword to try to get to a point where he gets his major strength buff, at which point pyramid head can just ######### trample him.
On top of ALL of that, pyramid head has a pretty brutal ranged attack which just pushes him that much further ahead. Even without his weapon and armor advantages, this along could very likely give him the win

Pyramid Head drags around his huge knife while Oni takes out his big kill stick and runs around in a murder frenzy. He'd mess PA up ezpz

I love them both, but Pyramid Head. He's literally a manifestation of grief and ablution through penance. With all the sins and regrets Kazan has, he's won't stand a chance against PH.
He can Demon Dash into Claudettes, but he can't Demon Dash away from his sins.

Before the nerf PH, after the nerf Oni. PH would be locked in animation while Oni clobbered him.

sure ill show the bracket each post. based on the results i saw from the last three, the winners so far seem to be, huntress vs deathslinger: winner:huntress, nurse vs spirit: winner:spirit and oni vs PH: as much as i love the oni(i main him) the popular opinion was the winner was PH. each post ill show the results from last match

Err, a hard one...
If we only use SH lore PH is gonna murder the Oni in cold blood..However, remember we are in DBD So, It is a question of how much is PH aloud to do and how much is he not.
However, the battle between sexual rage and Samurai gatekeeping rage is funny as hell
