Tips to get out of Rank 20-15

So I have recently started to play dead by daylight again and before I stopped playing I was around rank 12. But recently coming back to the game I have started to run it in the constant problem of I run the killer around for about 2-3mins and 1 gen is completed. When I am hooked the rest of my team either stands still crouched around a corner or just take an excessively long time to take me down. This means that I am losing alot of time to do things that are productive so that I can get out of this rank. And tips to help me would be appreciated:)

I cannot give any advice on potato teammates, because that's on them what they decide to do, but I can give you some tips on how to most likely pip.

Do at least 1 Generator, cleanse a few Totems, get involved in some chases, do safe rescues from hooks, be altruistic, basically try to get as much bloodpoints as possible.

Also I just want to mention that currently there are some issues regarding pips, so you most likely won't rank up easily.

Like AhoyWolf mentioned, the emblem/rank system is completely broken at the moment so don't worry too much about your rank, it doesn't mean much at the moment. A lot of people have gone down in rank even as much as 10 ranks.

I wish I could say that it's better in purple or green ranks but it isn't. Yesterday I ran kindred in each match and in exactly 50% of my matches I was either killed on first hook, sent to struggle on first hook or died during the struggle phase all due to what you presented in your original post. This is at rank 6 currently, smh. BUT if i had to give advice I would say try running a strong solo queue build or making some friends with randoms who play well to team up with. I believe there is even a section here somewhere in the forum where people can team up for various reasons - achievements and so on. I'd say strong solo queue perks are Kindred (despite what happened to me yesterday), Deliverance, Camaraderie, Better Together and Empathy....these perks protect you as a solo survivor but also reveal important positions of players throughout the game :) good luck - i hope it gets better!
