Them's The Rules
Everyone knows "The Rules" that people say you're supposed to adhere to as killer. No camping, no tunneling, respect the 4%. While I do attempt to obviously respect SOME OF THEM (sorry you 4%ers, if you're dumb enough to do it in my face you're not getting away) there are obviously situations where things are different. If you're being obnoxious and constantly getting hooks broken or blinding me with flashlights naturally I'm more inclined to remove the threat. If you're teammates keep running in circles around the hook you're on, I'm not camping you, your teammates are killing you.
That's not what I'm hear to talk about though. What I'm here to talk about are the dumb rules. The stupid rules. Hell I'll open this up to survivors for crap they've heard killers tell them they need to in order to play right.
1.) I'm the last survivor and I have an active RBT on my head. You need to give me hatch.
No. No I don't. Be a good boy/girl and go to the Jigsaw boxes like an intelligent person to get your trap off and go out the gates.
2.) All NOED Users are required to wear the frosty eyes heads on killers to alert the survivors they have NOED. If the killer does not have frosty eyes, they are not permitted to use NOED.
God I wish I were making this crap up. I was just dicking around with a random perk setup as Doctor and got a decent stealth build going. This salt came from a d-strike flashlight user that had the smallest BP gain off his whole team.

I know its not the main point of the thread, but with Deliverance around, I feel respecting the 4%ers has lost its purpose. Not that I ever followed this "rule", in the first place.

Wait the second one's a thing??? #########!!!
Also I had a survivor telling me not to camp with Freddy even when I was far away. Good times0 -
@PhantomMask20763 Like I said I wish I were making that crap up lmfao.
@PigNRun oh yeah with you there too.0 -

Wait, are we missing an opportunity here....does this mean all survivors carrying DS must wear neon hats before they are 'permitted' to use the perk?
No? Yeah didn't think so.
Also why would you want to be given the hatch? Nothing is more tense when you're the last potato on the map and you still have that damn thing on your head....desperately trying not to miss skill checks....its your third box....you can almost feel her creeping up on you. You get the stylish steel hat off!!!!
"ROOOAR!"
"Oh poop"
I love the pig for those moments, even if I'm cursing her name while legging it across the corn. Hatch smatch, either find it or the gates yourself or become piggies plaything, it's literally the point of the game.

Yeah the individual in question was a rank 11 with their three rank 2 buddies and stated I was crap for having to be carried to rank 2 killer...
Not sure how one gets CARRIED when you're only able to play by yourself but whatever lol ^_^1 -
Ah... the 4% rule. Lol.
I do think it's generally a bit ######### to tunnel the guy who got lucky enough to escape from the hook. I'll usually try and let them get a safe distance away before they go back on my hit list.
However, I'd say that more often than not, it seems like it's the flashlighting, bodyblocking, teabagging Claudette who gets the 4% and then moans that you don't let her escape.
If you escaped the hook recently, with a beartrap on your head, last man standing, but got a Piggy laugh at you and then cut you down as your reward... then you should've been a nicer player earlier in the game!

Ooo got a new good one.
"All survivors are to instinctually know when a killer is using Barbecue and Chill and allow themselves to be hooked so the killer can get all four stacks to his perk."0 -
I got a rule for 'em: Run faster.

If the survivors dont follow my made up rules, I dont see a reason to follow their made up rules

There are no rules, play the game however you damn well want to. Anyone who says otherwise can bugger off with their made-up rules. If it's in the game and isn't abusing glitches or something similar, use it.
If you can't handle playing the game and need people to follow "sportsmanship" rules like this then go play another game.

I was unaware of all of these. Because if someone told me that i would think they are messing with me.
My rules:
#1 kill them all.
#2 see rule #11 -
Made up rules are always common on asymmetric games. I don't think that'll ever change.0
-
I play every game by the old Sirlin rules. http://www.sirlin.net/articles/playing-to-win/
If it's not a cheat or exploits I'm free to use it and I assume you will use everything available to beat me as well. I hate the fake "honor" system people have in place for gaming.

The only rules I follow is to not be a Tunneling, Camping Bastard and the rest is up to you. I might give them the 4% depends on what they did and how I am feeling at the time.

Only thing for me is to not be rude...and that goes for both sidesOnly had one person get upset with me for not respecting the 4%, and my main reaction was "oh, didn't realize. Whatever :P"0

On topic: I go for injured survivors so I get accused of tunneling a lot. Look buddy; if you unhook someone as soon as the hook is out of my terror radius I'm going to come back.
That being said I don't camp because I know it's a statistically bad move unless I'm Basement Leatherface, and if someone gets unhooked when I'm not around I don't care if they pulled themselves off or got saved.0 -
The point of the topic was to point out some of the more absurd ones lol ^_^1
-
ive never ever heard of rule #2 before... why would i change my chuckles mask with the frosty eyes mask, just because i run noed???
holy ######### that it ######### xDD0 -
Yeah I've never heard the frosty eyes one. Sounds like an angry survivor is just messing with you0
-
ive never even heard of rule 2 xD
0 -
I'm pretty sure I have never listened to survivors made up rules. Not a single time lol. I play how I want.0
-
Oh agreed. I just find some of them enjoyable.
0 -
I do love hearing survivors complain about getting pulled out of the hatch, acting like it's their right to it0
-
i play by my rules if it doesnt have a chance ( no matter how slim) to earn me a ban i have the right to use the tactic. that said i also have personal rules i never use NOED or DS and i almost never camp or tunnel ( the only time ull ever see me face camp/tunnel is when the survivor is being a toxic lil sheit..u better belive ima hook you and watch the light leave your toxic little eyes as u slowly bleed out and ur 3 teammates escape)
toxic reasons: Tbagging at 3 or more pallets in short time span.. flashlight flickering which is actually a reportable offense as it has been proven to decrease game ping and cause lag
if ur being toxic enjoy basicly this...
other than that i try my hardest to play fair if u been hooked twice ill sometimes give u a free go normaly if there is a rage quit DC early in the game ill let 1 escape and so on

As a true alpha male I don't follow ANY rules given to me

Ohhhh can I add that I've gotten mail about a long bomb hatchet as well! I guess there must be some rule that I can only throw them within a certain distance.
