Nobody uses the memento mori anymore?

Member Posts: 1,985

Lately I no longer see anyone using any Memento from either Cypress, Ivory and Ebony in my games when I play survivor. Maybe in your case it is different, but lately in mine I don't see any sign of memento mori. Is it because the rate of increase of the use of the 3 offerings has dropped considerably after the nerf they gave? Since before they used it a lot and eliminated the 1 hanging hook.

It's mostly just BP offerings i've been seeing from killers, though I usually don't pay attention to the offerings screen.

But something something and that's why Moris should be reverted to pre-1.5.

In many cases the mori animation would take only a little less time than picking up and placing on the hook and for those running BBQ you also give up on the intel.

I used it once to kill a survivor who was baiting DS and that's the only time it was useful to me.

So yes mori is quite useless now.

I've seen a few killers bring the offerings to matches. But the offering itself is no longer basically a free win so a lot of killers who were abusing it stopped using it.

The change they made to the Memento (and the Green) was overkill and made them entirely pointless, UNLESS you want to play very dirty and play keep away after your first hook. You can, if you want, use them to force the first hooked Survivor to go to 2nd Stage and then allow the rescue and Mori off the hook taking the game to a 3v1 relatively early. That is the only value they have not, and most people aren't that cutthroat. I never used them that often to begin with as they are counterproductive to points and Emblem advancement. However, if I bring one in, you can rest-assured I'm going to use it to maximum potential and I will use that nasty tactic.

I do. They are useful during endgame, especially to counter DS.

If you were going to use them to tunnel someone off and mori them, then yes, they are pretty useless.

Well they're essentially useless and do nothing but clog peoples blood webs now. Not sure why they would use them other than to look at the effect.

Moris just dont seem worth it now. They got overly nerfed imo

I thought the nerf would come with new Mori animations, but no instead we had to wait 3 years for a -1.

From my understanding they are planning on giving moris a full on rework like keys, they just did the current mori nerf to make them less frustrating to play against but they are most likely going to make them viable in the future. Now how long that takes...yeah who can say.

Cough silent wraith or jumps are Myers and facecamping mori

well not completely useless as you can avoid a DS and Unbreakable in slug situations, also you don't have to bring them to a hook which sometimes means that the other survs can't heal the slug or crawl out...

But yeah, this is highly situational...

I honestly like eating their soap

I save them for 4 things ttv weather real or fake flashlights to remove early keys (obviously) kill tasks

Yeah, they are only usable on death hook now. Its just that depending on the killer, the animation may take longer than just throwing them on a hook. Map offerings are better than a mori now. but I don't think anyone would say the change was bad, just them leaving keys as they were soured some people.
