Problems with skill checks

Help!! I've been having an issue with my skill checks, I have an xbox one s & a one x. On my one x Ive been having an issue with the skill checks, I have to slightly hold in on lb as soon as the skill check notification goes off then press and let go in time for it to work but I can't get it to work at all if the skill check comes up right away, since it doesn't give me enough of a notice to hold it in slightly.. it doesn't do this all the time every once in a while it randomly goes back to normal & it works perfectly on the one S & on other games. Has anyone else had this happen? I need to know how I can fix it. I can get great skill checks Everytime on my one s but blow up gens atleast once per gen Everytime on the one X.. it's driving me crazy lol

What do you mean, you arent supposed to hold the skillcheck button at all. You just tap it when the needle is in the success zone.

I have to hold it in or it won't work that's what I mean if I don't hold it in first then press in and release before it ends the gen will blow up. I have to start holding in on the button as soon as it notifies me of the skill check so as soon as the sound goes off I have to start holding in on the button then when it actually gets to the skill check I have to press it in completely and release or the gen will blow up. I know how normal skill checks are your right you just tap when it gets to the skill check but mine dont work like that they only work the normal way every once in a while randomly on my Xbox one x but they work normally on my Xbox one s all the time.

That seems like an issue with your controller more than anything. If console players can rebind their controls, consider rebinding the skill check action to another button, or get a different controller.

They aren’t counting towards the achievements as well, on Xbox one or windows 10

It's not an issue with the controller, it's an issue with the games. It happens to me too but so far there is no fixing the issue. Sometimes even squeezing the button won't work and it doesn't even register that I pressed the button at all. It's impossible to even play the game on xbox.
