what do i do against a slugging nurse?
so what happens is all of my 3 solo queue teammates go down in 2 minutes and theres next to nothing i can do about it. i often feel like im better of dcing and taking the 5 minute penalty instead of watching that moron farm bloodpoints. no, but seriously, is there any viable tactic to counter slugging nurses? and no, unbreakable doesnt help cuz ill go down again in the next 20 seconds

1) Stop grouping up around other survivors. This is true against most killers.
2) If slugged, move away from the killer. Don't hang around and make it easy for them.
3) The DC penalty goes higher than 5 minutes.

The first rule for going against a Nurse is to not group up. If your teammates lack the basic game sense to avoid that, then you're already facing an uphill battle. The best thing you can do is take a chase and lead her as far away from the others as possible. Hopefully they can reset and have the common sense to split up after that.

cry

Also,if teammates are near you and you are about to go down then try to jump into a locker to prevent her from slugging you

Uninstall/Dc
Start to separate from your teammate
Run Unbreakable

Die?

I found a secret tech called leave match and you only have to press 3 buttons!

I do this while hiding.

1) without using Bond, it can sometimes be impossible to know if other survivors are nearby.
2 -
I would take @Mr_K advice about not grouping up, an Infectious Fright nurse that knows their ######### is a death sentence for most, believe it or not survivors are way stronger when separate because more can get accomplished.

Go into a locker, it's more fun and we have a pool table

Bushes have fresh strawberries and blueberries. They also have a better view that allows me to watch the killer destroy my stupid teammates who unhook .00001 seconds after the killer hooks someone.

yeah but we have air conditioning

If shes bad you can do a lot. If shes good then you might as well just DC.

Were gonna live forever or for the people can stop that pretty good.
Were gonna live forever works better, for the people only works best if the nurse is bad enough you can escape being downed yourself from broken status.
I honestly don't like playing against nurse because, it is absolutely not her fault that is pretty much HOW you HAVE to play nurse, however it does suck because a good nurse often basically just puts you in "Time out" for most of the game.
Nurse is actually one of the most fun killers to play against....when the skill/match is actually fair. Not too easy not too hard. When you are out classed however she just makes you lay in the dirt for like 3 minutes till you inevitably die and it just sucks. She is my least favorite killer to play against and my most favorite at the same time.

Dc is lame, you focus on avoiding the killer and escaping chase. Go for smart and tactical saves, leaving the teammates to fend for themselves once up again. If the team is clustering, abandon them to a bleed out while you focus on pippin/safety.

Just reiterating bc what @Mr_K and @edgarpoop said is really important: stay far apart from each other. If you're confident in your chasing skills, lead the killer away to let your team reset. The nurse does not have the best mobility crossing maps.

Be unslugged

The proper play is to hide and make a play for the hatch.
Nurse is one of the weakest killers when it comes to finding the hatch, so you have a much better chance of finding it against her than against other killers. (It's still in her favor though)

Step 1. Nothing
Step 2. Repeat

you all die, basically.
unless you have 2 guys up and 1 guy can actually run the nurse so that the other can res and possibly full heal, a nurse with IF is gonna slug everyone easy regardless of if you all get up because she can get you all back down from injured faster than you can all stay up and reset

Get better teammates half the survivors don't even acknowledge the terror radius anymore. Half my deaths three survivors were dragging me through a skull ridden deadzone with a generator they couldn't let go of.
Bond works to avoid their charging at you head first which they do alot and calm spirit helps stop the infectious fright from including you in a steam roll.

I'm in! Agh, these trials are so humid, it makes me sticky everywhere. I'll bring some strawberries and whipped cream so we can have fun while everyone dies.

- im not grouping around them
- im usually the only one left
- no it only goes up to 5 minutes atleast from my experience

3) it scales the more you DC.

yh, sometimes you just need to let it out

she can just drop me right

i usually get potato yellow rank teammates

1) Equip Left Behind
2) Hide in a locker
3) Hope the crows don't cause your early demise

sounds good but i dont want to wake up to my steam profile comment section looking like a mess

wglf is usually just a dead perk unless i want bloodpoints. like only 1/10 of my games are slugging nurses. but she is fun to play against when she isnt played by a dickhead
0 -
theyre usually good ones
their build consists of: bbq and chilli (why they use that for slugging is beyond me), deerstalker, knockout and nurses calling
0 -
i would do that but i dont want to see my steam comment section look like a horse stable

i get those games usually once or twice per day so thats probably why its at 5

There's a rule to follow with Nurses,
If she's bad, you usually win.
If she's good, you'll probably lose.
There's a reason Nurse is the most "competitively" viable killer in the game.
0 -
She could, but it would waste more of her time and gives your teammates morw time to run away
0 -
Suffering seems to be your only option
0 -
If all 3 are already downed personally what I would hop in a locker until she picks up. Most killers who finally pick up do it because they are running BBQ, and want to find the 4th via their aura.
This also punishes her because she might not be able to hook everyone she downed.

I mean....she pretty much has to slug, the person isn't a "dickhead" for slugging. Some are just good enough you don't have to stay slugged long, and others are so bad they don't slug but they lose and you really just want more matches where they lose.
WGLF is a decent perk for dealing with slugging, but it's more about taking it if you really hate slugging so much that it tilts you then there are things to counter it like unbreakable, soul guard, wglf, we'll make it, for the people, etc....

i only have a problem with 4 man slugging
0 -
As in slugging for a 4k at the end?
That's fine as well within reason. I mean like....it takes both sides for that to happen really. If they slug you and look for you, do you just hide to stay alive or let them kill you? You hide of course, because you want to try and live and maybe get the other person up, but they want to try and kill you not let you get hatch.
I mean, you could just let them kill you, but you don't want to do that because why would you just let them win? Well, they also don't want to just let you get hatch. It's just a stand off situation.
I don't begrudge it, I just see standoff problems as a bhvr design problem not the killers or survivors fault.
Personally though, I generally don't do it because I find it tedious and boring roaming around trying to find immersive blendette unless I saw them on BBQ or have whispers or something, I might slug for a 4k but if I can't find them and they lose me, I will probably go and hook the person.

Pretty much nothing.

no, slugging all 4 survivors when theres still 5 generators left. but i have found a way around it: i use tenacity to recover and crawl towards a teammate. if the killer comes back for me he cant find me cuz of the 50% speed boost
