Anyone have any cool/good Pig buff ideas?
I'm curious if anyone has any good pig ideas. Pig is my favourite killer and I don't really have any issues with her, even though the reverse bear traps are RNG based. I understand that I can't just get a free kill from a reverse bear trap after getting someone down their first time, and I think they do really well at taking some pressure off gens for the most part. However sometimes survivors get them off like nothing and you go the rest of the match as a pure M1 killer. I do understand that the traps are just an addition to her stealth ability, but I'm curious to know if anyone has any cool/good ideas that could make her even more fun to play.
In the SAW movies the pig ambushes someone to inject a sedative. Maybe if you hit someone that is healthy with a ambush attack you apply some sort of disorientation to them for a few seconds? That's just my idea maybe it's stupid maybe it's not curious to know what people think.

I see so many people say Rules Set No. 2 should be a basekit mechanic but I disagree.
Since they can't see the Boxes, they're more likely to do generators instead of try and get the inactive trap off of their head while looking for something that they can't even locate easily.
It just makes your slowdown potential worse.
Personally, I'd like to see Ambush be able to vault pallets and then continue the dash for about 0.8 seconds afterwards. If they were to rework The Pig's addons, there could be a set that increases the duration of the post-vault dash. This change would make pallets less of a way to instantly shut down Ambush and make it be a bit more interesting.

IMO Pig does not really need any Buffs to her Kit, but a Rework of her Add-Ons. Some Add-Ons are simply outdated while others are not really healthy. Always a big sign when the best Add-Ons of a Killer are basically brown and yellow, which is a case for Pig.
Add-Ons that should be changed:
Add-Ons which increase Skill Check-Odds or Failed Skill Check-Penalty --> Those were only useful when Jigsaw Boxes were affected by Lullaby or stuff like Unnerving Presence. This is not the case for years now, there is no point in using them. Increasing Skill Check-Odds is bad for the Pig and increasing the Penalty only affects really inexperienced Survivors.
Mangled, Exhaustion --> Those promote a tunneling playstyle by going after the person with a Trap on their head, because they are either exhausted and/or might not be healed due to Mangled. And I dont think that such a playstyle should even be encouraged, bad Pigs should not be helped this way.
Tampered Timer --> Not healthy. If you use this with either the purple extra Box or the purple Crate, the Survivor will not be able to search all 4 Boxes if you disturb them just a little bit. Cheap RNG-Kills should not happen IMO. Tampered Timer might have been ok a few years ago, but now that Killers have it so much easier, no reason to have this thing in the game.
In general, Pig should get more love to her Stealth and Dash and a little bit less focus on the Traps, at least Add-Ons should reflect this. Stuff like a stronger version of Combat Straps, things that increase crouching speed and so on. If you want Trap Add-Ons, something that gives 2 RBTs, or if you want a healthy Add-On for bigger Slowdown, something that lets the Key be in the last Box at all time, but massively increases the Timer (this could be a pink Add-On, with Amandas Letter being moved to purple).
Also some idea I have seen (I think it was from Otz) was that Traps have a fixed number of Box Searches. Each Trap has a different value from 1-4, with each value only once. This would mean that the Slowdown is more guaranteed and less RNG for the Pig.
But personally, I dont mind the RNG, overall it evens out, there will be Survivors who have their Trap of on their first try and there will be those who need to search all Boxes.
Some things to add here:
Make Rules Set No. 2 base kit <--- That is bad for the Pig. Most of the time Survivors go for the Boxes first, having Rules Set No. 2 Basekit would mean they do a Gen before, which lowers the slowdown-ability.
Make already active RBT timers lose more time whenever a gen pops <--- Not a big fan on that one. This could result in Gens not being done at all, which might be too much Slowdown.
Make the EGC starting also activate RBTS <--- No. Devs removed this due to EGC. Traps are meant to be used as Slowdown during the game, not during the Endgame for cheap Kills.
The other points are fine, depending on what exactly the Devs want. But Pig will most likely not be looked at anytime soon.

Pig honestly seems very difficult to balance. The RNG nature of her power ends up working against her. If you RBT a survivor and it is UNRELIABLE, you end up in a situation where the Killer can lose a lot of pressure to RNG - IE, someone gets it off on the first try. However, if you make it predictable, you end up having the potential for the Pig to exploit that and essentially proxy-tunnel survivors trying to rotate predictably between Jigsaw boxes.
The problem is that her base kit stealth + lunge is super weak versus a survivor who has eyes. I'd like to see her weird lunging charge be reworked into something actually useful in chase, considering her stealth and loss of FoV in crouch is so weak.

An rng based power has no place in the game so I’d say her rbt need a full rework
As for her other two ambush needs to be faster and crouch needs a reduced time

Make her crouch and uncrouch faster (like ghostface) and remove the blade sound from it. And maybe delay a bit the roar when she's about to charge. These little changes would make her stealth so much more satisfying.
A lot of people seem to not agree but i think the traps are completly fine as they are, maybe they could normalize a bit more the RNG but other than that i hope they don't touch them.

stuff like this, is why I say current RBT and RSN2 RBT should be a toggle and not an add-on. before the match you just switch her power to whatever you prefer.
because that changes her playstyle a lot!
in one the RBT is just to slow the game down, while in the other the RBT is intended to actually take at least one person out of the game entirely.

Normalising the RNG of the traps, reworking the addons, and making her stealth mechanics better would be the three highlights. (note: maybe the # of jigsaw boxes should increase, but each RBT should have two possible keys distributed between them?)
As a random idea to rework Rules Set No. 2 I really liked, from a very old thread of mine suggesting Pig's addons get reworked:
Rules Set No. 2: At the start of the Trial, up to four of your Reverse Bear Traps are removed from your Inventory and instead start having caught random Survivors. In addition, a Generator is completed at random at the start of the Trial. Increases RBT death timer. (by however much is needed for this to not be a total nightmare for the survivor team)
