Why does every update break some game files?

It is getting pretty annoying. After every update since the update with the twins, some files of the game break. If I don't check the game files via steam, I will get thrown out of the game by EAC saying that some files have been altered. One time, the game crashed and broke some files after validating the game files before.

And no, I never modded the game in any way (like icons) and never modified any config files.

    Sorry to bump, but this is a really good question. It's nearly two full years later and this is still a constant issue after literally every update. Every. Single. Update.

    In fact, it seems to be getting worse. I tried updating the game today after having not played at all since the last patch, which means I never went through the song-and-dance of letting EAC find whatever broken files that patch created, and now the update is so completely messed up that I have to reinstall. BHVR, please figure out how to properly update your game, please.
