Killer Rework: The Legion

A group of killers, able to overwhelm survivors using their power, Feral Frenzy.

Stats:

- Average height

- 100% movement (105/110/115/135)

- 16m terror radius (24/32/40)

FERAL FRENZY:

If all members are grouped up and the power gauge is full, press the Power Button to enter Feral Frenzy, increasing movement speed by 20% and granting access to Feral Slash and Feral Tackle. Cancelling the power or running out of charges will put you into a 4 second fatigue state.

SPECIAL ATTACK: Feral Slash

Press the Attack Button while in Feral Frenzy to perform a Feral Slash. Hitting a healthy survivor will put them into the Injured State, refilling your power gauge and revealing all other survivors within your terror radius with the Killer Instinct effect. You cannot break pallets when in Feral Frenzy.

SPECIAL ATTACK: Feral Tackle

If a Feral Slash is performed on a survivor in the Injured State, all members will tackle the survivor and begin stabbing them, revealing you and the tackled survivor's aura to the other survivors.

During this time, you and the tackled survivor will struggle until they are either put into the Dying State or any number of survivors assist them. If they are assisted, they will be given Deep Wounds and you will enter a 4 second fatigue. If the tackled survivor is not assisted, they will enter the Dying State and be immediately picked up.

MEMBERS:

All 4 members of The Legion spawn in the trial at separate locations, and all members emit a terror radius. You begin as Frank and can see the auras of the other 3 members at all times.

SPECIAL ABILITY: Swap Member:

If not grouped up, press the Active Ability Button to assume control of whichever Legion member you are currently looking at.

SPECIAL ABILITY: Group Up:

When within 4m of another member of The Legion, press the Power Button to begin moving together, increasing your movement speed by 5% per member, and your terror radius by 8m per member. If carrying a survivor while grouped up, the other members will automatically attack any other survivor who gets within range

SPECIAL ABILITY: Split Up:

If already grouped up with 1 or more members of The Legion, press the Active Ability Button to leave whichever member you are controlling in place and begin controlling the next member in the group. You cannot place members within 4m of pallets, windows, generators, exit gates or 12m of hooked survivors

Some notes from me:

  • I wanted to make Legion more versatile and less of an m1 simulator, so my first thought was to have all of the members in the game at once, which leads to far more interesting powers than stab and run.
  • Next idea was to make their power actually lethal and remove the constant mending. This then led me to making it into a minigame like what Deathslinger has, minus the complete helplessness when in the open. In Legion's case, I want it to feel like you are barely holding them back, with your struggling not being as effective at theirs unless you have someone helping you.
  • Pallets are now a threat to them, as there is no vaulting or breaking in your power, but to compensate you no longer lose any of your power for doing basic attacks.
  • I made sure camping wouldn't be an issue since all members keep their terror radius and you can only swap when alone, which means you move only 5% faster than a survivor.
  • Still lots of room for tweaking, but I quite like this idea over what we have.
