Cannibal OP?
Who else has this opinion? My biggest gripe about Leatherface is that his chainsaw rampage lasts so long, but the main reason is because he's so fast while he does it. I've had a Cannibal catch up to me and chase me around a large full circle of debris and hit me; All the while he has been in his rampage.
So what are other opinions on the Cannibal? Broken? Balanced?

I'll be honest, i haven't had that much of an issue with leatherface. If he catches you out in the open, then yes, you are likely to end up as meaty chunks on his chainsaw, but if you're near any structure or map object, it gets harder for him to hit you without hitting one of those objects. You do have to pick your route as carefully as possible when in a chase, and quick corners can help you out as long as you're sure you aren't heading for a dead end, but i certainly don't think that makes him OP.
Aside from that one match when i spawned literally 2 feet behind him....

He needs a buff in fact. Tell me one thing he is better at than Billy. You know a power is pathetic when it can be countered by simply vaulting or running around sharp corners.
Hell he gets countered by all maps that arent the meat plant.11 -
He desperately needs a buff.
His chainsaw charge is unreliable, because the whole charge is lost, if you release the button a split second to early. You can't use charge addons on him, because that screws with the muscle memory. Most if his addons do nothing anyway.
So yes, he's broken. But not in a OP way.11 -
No, others have explained.1
-
He's one of the weakest killers in the game, I can tell you've never played as him. He has the ability to move faster but at the cost of chainsaw charge time and you have to be right behind them or in a field for his speed addons to work, otherwise a good survivour will just go to a window. He is the strongest killer defensively which is why so many people cry camper(and why a lot of people play defensively) and because you can't safely save even with borrow time.
The big reason why he is bad is because of how the chainsaw charge up slows you down a bit so if you don't get it off in the perfect window of opportunity you've lost chase time. Any windows, walls or even pallets screw you over. Against poor survivours its a dream because they won't loop and throw down pallets early but against any good survivours you'll turn into an M1 killer and never get to use your chainsaw unless you've hooked someone.

He's the second worst killer in the game. He needs buffs, not nerfs.6
-
Cannibal is one of the worst killers. Pallets and windows are his enemy and there are plenty of both on the maps6
-
Buff Bubba
8 -
Probably the worst killer who's ability doesnt further weaken him. His chainsaw is so situational, I'll get games where I never actually use it3
-
The only issue I see is if they buff him that Leatherface avater clan is going to flood the forums lol. Oh wait that's not bad.. they mostly already are flooding the general discussions now lol.3

BIG buffs needed to Bubba.
Hopefully after Freddy

Leatherface is my most played killer by far. I generally feel like he is an alright killer.
If you get Lery's map, then you are screwed. With all the windows on that map, you are pretty much an M1 killer (which is still better than Freddy).
Is he OP? not at all, you just need to play differently against him.1 -
Leatherface is a weak killer.
His add ons are mostly trash.
He can't pressure gens or control the map.
The rev up takes to long and slows him down to much.
And don't let me get started about that build in drawback called tantrum. facepalm3 -
All the serious players know he needs a buff.
2 -
Then I'm just unlucky. I take all this at face value. So I basically need to hug walls, windows and trees. All of my bad luck with him is usually centered around getting stuck in larger rooms or out in the open. I can understand the chain rev issues as I read them, but doesn't his rampage last just a little long? I have seen people get downed in groups, by streamers and once in my own games. Then again, watching the same streamer play Leatherface for the first time, he had no idea how to catch up to a survivor.
Same topic, different subject, I haven't bought Leatherface yet, so yeah I have not played him. I guess as a new player, he's especially frustrating, but I digress. Everyone, thanks for the info and opinions.

its rly hard to tell weather your a troll or a bad player...
id stick with troll though.1 -
I was being pretty sincere. I'm new to the game and was curious if other were having the same feelings I was towards Leatherface. Again, I don't own Leatherface, but I have been easily overwhelmed when playing against it. I'm going to try the advice people offered, sticking to corners and windows when I can and NOT run out into the open like a lemming.

His only useful add-ons reduce chainsaw noise, but against good survivors, I am left running and swinging with my hammer.
Low ranks i have been able to swipe a group of 3 swf (I am assuming because they clumped together)...but only 1x. He is a hard killer to succeed with!0 -

I don't see any need for it, because he has no other strength than this, he is mediocre at best in any other aspect of the game.
He has only his chainsaw going for him with the capability to down multiple targets and even that has build in drawbacks.
So you want to nerf his only strength, which isn't very good to begin with.3 -

He is very weak if you aren't playing him to Insidious camp.
The main problem is that revving the saw slows him down. If he didn't slow when revving he would straight away be a bit more powerful and viable but at the moment if you start revving and the survivor spins around you lose the few metres you needed to catch them as you follow their path round.
Monitor and Abuse helps to get you closer before they know you are coming but once they know who you are even that is lost.

While I despise playing against LF (due to how people play him, very campy and all) I have to tell you: He's in the bottom 3. One of the worst killers in the game.
LF has his 1hit down, which is strong whenever he gets near you - but is totally useless when facing pallets if you know how to loop him and how to react to his actions.
He lacks mobility and map control.0 -
If the charge was like billys, hed be fine with me.
Too slow though.0 -
A strong defensive killer but other than that no he isn’t OP. It’s just that a lot of players play to his strong stat which is defense, so they’ll camp. Which them he gets gen rushed and gets 0-1K.

What I have learned.
1 - Leatherface is unbalanced, but in the negative area to where only new/bad players will end up dying to him.
2 - Due to his negatives, such as long rev time, lack of map pressure and the length of his rampage, he face camps more often than not.
3 - Survivors with any semblance of teamwork should be able to outmaneuver Leatherface, so long as they don't clump up.
4 - Walls, windows and pallets are a survivor's best friend versus his chainsaw. Those are the 3 big points I think I grasped. Anything I missed/got wrong?

Leatherface's chainsaw brings too much negatives to the table for him to be viable, he need buffs.

I have seen good matches where a good survivor would try to pull me off chases or flashlight me as I am trying to hook while the other survivors pop gens. Those usually result in MAYBE 1-2ks....sometimes 4scapes.
Against good survivors he is really hard because a lot of his success comes at face value (speed, multiple slugs with cs).
I don't think he needs a nerf though. I find his cs situational but when it works, it gets me like 2-3 slugs. Maybe I am just bad at him though lol.

He’s in a really ad spot on the Tier List Right now0

I love Leatherface, and I would agree that he is really good at camping, especially in the basement - I still haven't had a person escape that's been down there as I came down the stairs. But, he is definitely frustrating to play after rank 7. I constantly bounce between rank 7 and rank 6; it all depends on whether or not I have 'The Beast's Marks' and 'The Carburetor Tuning Guide'. If I have those add-ons I regularly pip up, but I rarely get those add-ons.
After reading this thread, though, I think I might be playing him wrong, because I play him offensively, lol. Actually, I have a video that in about 30 seconds, summarizes what it's like to play as Leatherface. (without the aforementioned add-ons )
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdExnqrWaYI0 -
I mean ^ that was just not good playing on the killer's side. Whoever was playing LF in that video had multiple chances at getting a survivor and missed all of them. So in that particular instance, it wouldn't matter what killer you were playing, you'd miss all the hits.
He sucks though. His mobility, terror radius, chainsaw mechanic can lose all of it's charge if it's at 99% and not 100%, him running into objects with the chainsaw that make him frustrated. If they reduced his terror radius a little bit and adjusted his mechanic just a tad, he'd be a terrifying killer to play against.

My only complaint about LF since his release is the hitbox his chainsaw has. Being able to cut through METAL and Concrete seems seriously broken. Pallets and hitting me through a window vault, i'm fine with. But if i cut a corner and get clipped by his chainsaw through the wall, I tend to rage a little bit.
LF is a noob stomper. is and always will be.

Strange. To me it is the opposite way. I get caught way to often on a corner and getting a tantrum instead of a hit.
It literally NEVER happend to me to "cut through" solid objects.0 -
People always rate him so low and I agree he's nothing special but as someone who always uses M1 killers, his chainsaw alone means he isn't as abysmal as people make out.
Think of all the times survivors try to gang up on you, he can sort that. Hell if you catch a survivor out in the open you can end the chase before it begins.

If you are out in the open (which you shouldnt be) its somewhat powerful but can be easily countered with sprint burst or dead hard. IF you are any were near a tree than its worthless.

Leatherface truly is OP.
He is no 1 rank 1 killer.
I have him prestige 9000 and he just does so well. His mobility and map pressure is huge.

imo they should make it to where he cant hold his chainsaw forever along with billy so it can stop camping i just had 2 games where i was chased all game and camped with leatherfaces chainsaw the 1st one i died and the 2nd i lived but he had NOED and killed 2 others that tried to save me i was able to get away because i had adrenaline

He's weak and I hate playing against him. Like Freddy, but the distaste is not as strong.
