Going back to lower ranks
I just came back to dbd after a small break and 2 rank resets and I need to discuss a few things I saw and or experienced. I am normally a purple rank but after the 2 rank resets I fell down to yellow ranks. I decided to play some really bad almost meme builds on hag etc but the survivors weren't what I thought they would be.
I saw yellow rank survivors all abusing massive infinites and I was really unprepared I know I was running some meme builds but they were doing things I would never expect yellow ranks to do. This wasn't like one isolated case it was roughly 6 games of infinite loops object of obsession and ds. I don't know when yellow rank survivors started abusing every infinite loop in existence. I understand that ds was in the shrine but honestly it came as a massive surprise to me.
Any ideas why this is or while I was on break suddenly all of the yellow ranks just massively improved.

I also think the desync has gotten some survivors to learn a more safe approach. So it might be harder because they are less greedy.

That has always been the case but this has been different I don't know if a big content creator has created a new how to abuse infinite loops because out of all of the time I have been playing I have never seen survivors effectively abuse the infinite loops. In the end game screen they also didn't have like maxed out perks so they are most likely new survivors

That is an interesting take I didn't think how the desync affected player's play styles etc. Could it be that many people have just not been playing since rank reset because of the desync glitch and therefore never actually rose in ranks and are just now returning to the game. This usually doesn't happen at this time because it has been a while since rank reset.

Sorry should have specified but I saw that they would avoid or would not be good at running normal tiles but instead would run and be really good at the infinite loops.

You can't chase with Hag. They trip a trap, you hit them, they run away, reset the trap. Occasionally they run into a second trap and get downed, and that's when you can generate pressure, forcing the team to rescue that person off hook.

I also forgot that during that desync time, there was also an emblem bug that would only give you unbroken if you escaped instead of the usual based around how long you survived the trial. So you had really good and bad survivors depiping.
I will say though that I do feel like over all, survivors have gotten more generator efficient. Even a few extra seconds in a chase can feel like a mountain of catch up work, even if the person you were chasing isn't particularly pallet/window conscious.

I played many other killers I just gave hag as an example of one of the ones I tried but when I saw myself at an infinite where I had not put traps previously I would find myself easily mind gaming them and downing them easily but this time they managed to pull off the infinite perfectly interestingly at normal tiles with or without traps they did not do the same so that is why I am asking.
