Of teasers, PTBs, spotlights and releases

Hello,

I am really like getting the teasers ahead of the PTB, but I really dislike the lack of a proper spotlight before it hits release.

I think it was spot on with The Plague chapter, as we got a nice intro video for the characters (I'll never forget the chat exploding when Jane's model was revealed), powers and perks and then had the content to play with on the following Tuesday.

I just really prefer to get my info direct from source, rather than smattered screenshots on reddit, or buried under a pile of subjective comments.

    Those usually come with proper releases.


    I think it's to prevent confusion whether the character is out or not.

    Not all DBD players know about PTB.

    When are we getting the next teaser/trailer though? I assume PTB will release tomorrow, that's what everyone has been saying

    Until this thread, I had forgotten that the Plague PTB made us wait a few more days after she was revealed until we could test the new characters. I much prefer the way they do things now; a spotlight/event reveal generally just means more waiting.

    I highly doubt it. They didn't even show a proper trailer yet, so I expect 2 more weeks for ptb and one more for the release.

    The spotlight trailer should launch together with the PTB. That way, people that can´t install the PTB, at least get some official information about whats coming.

    The music stopped on 3.19 so perhaps the 19th March we'll get it released.

    @MandyTalk apologies!

    Personally, I think it would be nice to see a spotlight at least a day before we were to see any PTB, this way the information would hit the community in a controlled manner.

    It's a shame after the meticulously crafted teaser campaign, that the console players have to rely on the community to upload the information that is now out in the public domain for PC users, but there is nothing official from source.

    Shame.

    Still, new menu looks sick!!!

    Bump.

    2 weeks after the PTB released we are seeing official "Coming Soon" trailers.

    It really saddens me that we are only seeing this level of a push now, after the chapter has been dissected by the community on Youtube/Reddit etc.

    Seriously, the marketing, PTB and release are all arse-about-face?!

    Sorry to Bump, but relevant.

    Loving the way this new chapter is being announced.

    I just hope there is an official full trailer before PTB!

    I don't want to be like a little kid having his Christmas presents ruined for him by his big brother!
