Custom perk icons: can we get an official response from BHVR on their future?
Ever since 4.5.0, custom perk icons and the Dead By Daylight Toolbox have been made almost completely redundant due to a change made to the way files are sourced by the in-game HUD. Whether this was an intentional change from BHVR or not, could there be an official announcement explaining what's going on and if support will be given for them in the future?
It's a shame, because the community has put thousands of hours into designing icons, not to mention all the time put towards programming the toolbox application (which I believe was made by superstabby).
Custom perk icons are absolutely no harm to the game and if anything help diversify and build the community, so at the very least I believe the community deserves acknowledgement.

I don't think they care.
And if they do, it's gonna be low on the bucket list.

They never been for or against. They only warned what could happen if EAC decides to ban because of it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't to be honest. I don't think people even expect them to do anything anytime soon (I certainly don't), but at the very least I think the community would appreciate a statement.

I'm aware of that, but it's the lack of effort they've put into recognizing this as a problem that's frustrating. I know it's far from top-priority, but they've consistently turned a blind eye towards this part of the community and failed to recognize its value.

They were hands off from the start. You cannot expect them to support something they never wanted in the first place.
The community found a way to replace the icons and it will be the community that finds a way to do it again.

Of course, but as the community grew to such a large size, it's just a shame they didn't recognize it when it would've taken such little effort.
Replacing icons is no longer as simple and risk-free as it once was. The files used for the in-game HUD are now stored internally and not in an easily accessible folder like before that EAC does not check.
Anyway, don't get me wrong - I'm not super annoyed or anything, just questioning how this decision was made.
