Game freezes my pc

Whenever I load up dbd system task scheduler starts taking up 100% of my CPU and my game starts freezing and slowing my pc down to the point it wont work until I close the game. This has not always happened with my game so I am not sure why this has suddenly started recently as I have not made any significant hardware or software changes to my pc and this only happens on dbd.
