Another reason to not take BHVR seriously

I haven’t even played the PTB cause I’m at work right now, I’ve watched some streams and gameplay and IMO this “killer” seems like a joke. Another projectile throwing “killer” who looks like he just left a Korean Pop Band after party. It just doesn’t feel like Dead By Daylight. At this point they might as well add spongebob and give him red eyes and call him a killer. I just feel like this chapter was made for shi*s and giggles.

I don't care for the current skin but hopeful for the future. Think it's good that devs are adding a killer easy to learn for new players. I also like the counter play he encourages.

Ahhhhh yessss. Another person who thinks killers only have to be UGLY, DISFIGURED, DRESSED IN DARK TONES etc.

Nah son, I think you missed the point. Theres silly stuff in this game. Its not 100% gruesome horror. As well as the fact that just because its not gorey or monstrous, does not mean its not horror. Not everything has to have a dark tone to be scary. Clowns for example, are typically very bright. Yet for whatever reason are considered horrific and scary. Get out of that close minded way of thinking and embrace the fact that horror is incredibly broad, just as humor can be

No no I have to stop you right here. A skin isnt comparable to an entire character. Second: Many (me including) despite the silly skins aswell.

Just because silly skins exist doesnt make silly killers valid.

Alright man, lemme say this. Imagine youre walking down a street, middle of the night. In the distance you see this walking rave of a man stride up to you and he starts chucking neon knives at your face. Are you just gonna stand there and be like "nah man youre not a monster and youre not covered in gore. You aint scary." Or are you gonna be running the ######### away yelling about a human glowstick trying to gut you?

The dudes creepy wether you agree with it or not.

Horror is not only completely subjective, but a very broad field. Ghostface is meant to be a silly man who goes around causing panic by committing murder. The Spirit is a ghost with daddy issues. This guy is an attention-hungry flamboyant megalomaniac who murders people for the glamour. It's all in how you look at it.

With regards to backstory, I can guess you haven't read much into it yet, because you are precisely on about with what he's supposed to be. Every killer is meant to have a certain flaw that brings them to the entity: plague has self-righteous devotion, Myers has pure evil, does it for Jigsaw, Spirit has resentment and a not inconsiderable grudge, Charlotte just wants to protect Victor, Ghostface does it for the fun, and this guy is a total attention-######### who does it for the stardom. Sure, it can be sh*ts and giggles if you think about it in the sense of Asian James Charles dyed his hair purple and kills people with a bunch of flashy darts, but it could also be the thirst for attention and recognition that brings people to do awful things in the name of fame and showmanship.

Aesthetically, I don't like the new killer much, just as how I don't like hag or twins, but that's entirely based on my perception of horror. Besides, it's been a long time since DBD was meant to be a horror game. It's clearly transitioned into the slasher genre, which is even more broad than horror. Imagine how ridiculous it is for this grey tree monster with a mouth flower face to be chasing you while nodding the entire time, or a bunch of teenagers who you can t-bag after giving them a concussion with a hunk of wood.

I don't mean to be the one to tell you to change your mindset, but if that's your vision for DBD, then I think you would have been, and will continue to be, disappointed, and maybe it's time to find another game. There are plenty of fish in the sea, and if you don't subscribe to this particular genre, you could try out the myriad of more "horror" oriented games. I would recommend Bloodborne; it's terrific and horrifying, and not much of a slasher.

Nice try. I play dbd once a week for no more than 2 hours and have been drawn away from this game for months now but that doesn’t mean I can’t watch content creators and YouTube videos of Dead By Daylight. I’m simply stating that the killer looks stupid. You think I’m demanding for this killer to be removed or changed sort of like how you and other 99% of the forum members that DEMANDED the HUD to be removed? Lmao oof. But hey, why not call me out and insult me or at least TRY to insult me at a post that has absolutely nothing to do with this. Nice try.
