So we got this new HUD because of this Killer?
Seems to me that they made the new HUD for this new Killer with the lacerations effect bar or i could be wrong but might be why they were so ignorant about reverting it.

They could of just added this to the old portraits like all the other portrait effects (sleep timer, infection, etc.)

Or, more likely, they developed the killer's UI knowing that the overall UI was going to be redesigned (and what it'd look like).

the irony in that is that you can barely tell how lacerated someone is without focussing, something that never happened on the new UI - the new UI is even making this new killer a much worse experience

I don't see why we needed a whole new UI for his effects. We had similar effects with Pyramid Head's power and it didn't cause any problems with the old one.

Yeah i just meant maybe it was easier for them to add to a new hud rather than the old one and that's why they kept it this way. I think the progress bar of lacerations is terrible. But it's very animated more than what Phead was so was more or less why i thought this is why we have the new HUD.

It literally looks like a fancier version of the ghostface stalk meter imo.
They had some other reason for changing the HUD

Totally agree with this. All "timer" Killers (Pig, Plague, Freddy, Trickster, etc.) are negatively affected by the new UI.

To be clear, I meant that the killer's UI was made knowing that, by now, the new (overall) UI would have been implemented. I'll reword my comment so it's better.

I also can't discern madness 2/3 anymore - literally went in a custom match to test it and couldn't figure it out, unreal
