The hacking in this game is out of control.
I just had the displeasure of playing against another survivor group with a hacker in it. And the sad thing is that BHVR will never ban them as long as you don't present video evidence. I sincerely wonder why they don't even bother checking their gamelogs.
The last time I've reported a hacker they simply dropped my report due to lack of video evidence, can you believe it? So why should I even bother reporting hackers at this point? Not everyone has a machine that's strong enough to keep recording software running in the back. I'm already struggling bad enough with the newer maps while my graphics settings are set to "low".
When will you finally get a better anti-cheat-system? That person also had a VAC ban on their account which merely was 24 hours old, and yet they are still allowed to cheat.

Seriously.
Just had a survivor disable player collision and was running right through me, as well other survivors who were taking protection hits. Thought it was lag or Dead Hard at first

Oh, but make sure that you don't disconnect from the match! The devs don't want you ruining the hacker's "fun," and will penalize you for dodging them

The hacker did some pretty nasty stuff, for instance they were able to spawn any item they wanted while increasing its properties. The flashlight they had contained the power of the sun and the blind itself lasted half a minute. They also kept warping throughout the map while hooking and unhooking themself in the air. They also had access to perks despite equipping none. It was simply disgusting. After 3 minutes of this I simply went into a corner and stood there until the match was over.

Yea they're really bad right now. I had 4 hacking killers in the space of 2 weeks not long ago.

This. This is the absolute worst thing about it. Coincidentally the number of people hacking seemed to jump the moment they put disconnect penalties into the game. Probably because people could no longer disconnect and ruin their fun.
How Behaviour have sat and done nothing and said nothing for about a year now in regards to all the hacking baffles me

We have dedicated servers now. So checking the logs for inconsistencies should be easy. The whole video evidence thing made sense when the game was p2p. But now?

My last hacker report via support ticket was in 2020 when we already had dedicated servers and they didn't bother looking up any gamelogs. Even when I presented image evidence through screencaps (with one of them even showing the culprit ADMITTING that he's cheating) they still closed the ticket after stating that they wouldn't do anything without video evidence. The sheer incompetence is appalling.

Had a game recently where all 4 survivors were lag switching as I got with lunge range of them. Couldnt hit any of them.
When you get hacker groups the best thing to do is to just face a corner and afk and go make a sandwich or something. They'll get bored and end the match and waste another 15+ minutes in lobby.

You don`t need to have a super PC to record a video. I have a low end PC (amd athlon x4 840+rx 560), but i just recorded a match by Amd Radeon Software. The result:
I also agree with you. They have enough instruments to deal with many cheaters without any video evidences.

What's even worse is I know that even if you get them banned they have multiple accounts ready to go anyways so nothing really changes regardless. The anti-cheat in this game just needs to be better.

Thats when the software works as intended. I use Nvidia and the auto record in the background often doesn´t work. I have to manually set it up, whenever i start the game. But who enters a match, thinking about finding a hacker?!

Here in Dbd no one ever heard of the word hacking or cheating and not to mention use them, the year is 2021 and entire pc gaming world is infested with hackers but here in Dbd? NEVER.
Blight flicks 360 degrees, it’s normal, I’m trash.
Survivor is faster than me as legion using my power, it’s normal, I’m trash.
Survivor has no unbreakable but gets up, it’s normal, teabag at exit, I’m trash.
Survivor has no Sprint burst but still sprint bursts and uses dead hard after 10 sec, but that's normal, sprint burst isn’t an exhaust perk so dead hard right after.
Killer is playing without any tracking perks but knows exactly where everyone is the entire match, it’s normal, he’s on pc we on consoles are trash and need to “ git gud”.
I don’t want to give a name here cause people are snowflakes nowadays but there’s a night streamer who is moving waaaaay too fast normal movement speed and 4k with 4-5 gens on every single match with every single killer on every single day and people still believe that #########.
And when all that doesn’t work, than they camp and tunnel hard core.

I use shadowplay from geforce and I have it hotkeyed to alt+F9. I actually only installed it so I could quickly record matches for when a hacker shows up.
