Addonless experiment

So I've been playing addonless for a long time, except on twins since I hate them personally.

This is how I feel about them.

Freddy has his own category on the easiest possible so much that I put him twice (I wasn't able to erase the one closer to normal).

All of them addonless again except twins.

And I'm not a god nurse just an average one so I put her on hard.

Piggy and trapper I put them on normal for 2 reasons:

1. It seems that people don't know how to play against pig.

2. Same reason as pig, people fall for the easiest traps.

What do you guys think?

Oh I also put oni close to Freddy level but not because he is easy to use, not at all he is decently hard but I main him so it was too easy to get a W with him.

I love that Freddy has his own category, lmao.

Also, Doc is easy to win with?

    What about Billy?

I'm curious about pyramid head. His addons are really bad and do nothing for him so I wonder why it mattered. Are you talking about the advantage range addons give him?

Playing Wraith with no add ons is such a pain, maybe you can actually have a chance at being able to compete with survivors since they finally buffed his cloaked speed in the next chapter.

With the change on fov and animations, not to mention phantom saws he has become kinda annoying to use, not to mention that the overheat kinda limits his snowballing, still strong don't get me wrong.

Yeah, doc was really easy to win, this is the build that I use personally, surge, corrupt, whispers and stbfl.

To put simply yeah, imo his best addons are reach, Idk if mmr is a thing yet but whenever I played ph I found decent to good players but it wasn't that big of a deal, it was normal like it was more of a "I need to do this" than I needed reach addons.

I played all killers so that is why I put him in the list.

Wraith was horrible without windstorm ngl and yeah with the buff it will be better, I tried him on the ptb and felt amazing so it will be better soon.

Every Killer's basekit is fine except Trapper and maybe Ghostface. I am not including Wraith anymore since he will be decent at base with the new update.

For Ghostface: Reduce his Shroud Recovery down to 20 seconds.

For Trapper: Give him Trapper Bag basekit.

He starts with 2 Traps and can carry 3, give him 2 more traps in total so he can play with 8 traps instead of 6 and make the traps spawn more in the center of the map instead of the corners.

I mainly play without Add-ons and I do very well with every other Killer, sometimes I tend to use some. I don't think any other Killer needs Add-ons.

100% agree with you, I had to use ghosty shroud not as often and mostly for early game and stalking survivors that thought they were safe but I personally found him way easier than Myers in certain situations.

Trapper without bags was absolute hell for me since most of the time I use bags/sacks, so I had to set up 1 or 2 and the rest when I was close and if I was close to them, that buff that you suggest would be amazing if it was a thing, there were maps that I had to play machete man.

And yeah not that many killers "need" addons and sometimes they are nice but not really needed.

Yeah, I understand that Add-ons, especially good ones can be tempting. If I wanted I could use Scalped Topknot Oni every match because the Add-on feels nice, but I force myself to not be Add-on dependent.

I had this issue with Doctor. I always used shock range and the reworked Discipline when it came out. The shorter delay with extra range was just to good to not use it and then I started playing him addonless as well. It was hell. I realized that using or especially learning a Killer while using Add-ons to much is a big mistake.

Now, everytime a Killer comes out I instantly play basekit and get used to addonless and when I grasp the Killer, then I start using Add-ons.

I don't understand this chart. What do the axes mean?

The closest to the "difficulty" that I had, the more "normal" "hard" it was, demo and myers were for me one of those killers that it all depended or balanced per say, like I could either have a blessed game and win in WR pace or play normal or hard.

Oh, I also try that, to learn how to play without addons but I try the other way around.

For me it's a "use busted addons" like compound 21 or topknot then go back and back to worse addons then learn normally.

I think Archdruid Drey only plays Doc without add-ons. He mentioned that some add-ons are so good (Doc's Restraint for ex) that after playing a while with them, switching to another just impacts your performance.

Idk about restraint but discipline and range together is definitely pretty busted. The other ones are meh. They have nice effects but I wouldn't say they did anything significant. And I still don't know how Drey plays that much Doctor and doesn't get bored. 5 years of playing basically only 1 killer's gotta get old at some point.

Every tier list I see is the twins getting shafted. Add-onless they're still easy

That's what I also said. I regurarely used "Disc. + Electrodes" and when I switched to addonless I felt lost. This combo makes Doctor so good and it feels so weird playing without them after playing with them for so long.

I think Drey mentioned that he started playing Doc bc of difficulties tracking survivors due to color blindness. I have trouble finding and tracking stealth survivors and his toolkit helps a lot. There is an innate pleasure in dragging people out of their safe heavens that no other killer has.

This is not a tier list just a personal "addonless test and how easy they feel for me".

I typed that I hate twins and they are just unfun to play.

Think of the middle where the X Y axis meet as the balanced, if one is close to the difficulty then that was the difficulty that I had with them, if they are in the middle of X and it was also easy then they go Y to either side then it was leaning towards being easy or freddy difficulty.
