I've always played dead by daylight on the PS4, now on the PS5, and I would love to start playing on my gaming laptop. I did some research and found that there was some mixed opinions on how you can transfer from PlayStation to PC. Not sure how to do it if it s even possible or if i would have to buy the game again from steam? Need some help thanks

Data transfer or crossprogression doesn't exist yet for console to pc or vice versa.

But to answer your question if you want to play dbd on pc you need to buy it again from steam or windows store.

As OldHunterLight says, there's no cross progression available between consoles and PC at the present time, only Stadia & Steam, with Switch joining shortly. We also do not have an answer to if it will ever be available on any other platform, it's something that we know the Community want but it's not something we can guarantee.

I am about to switch from PC to PS5, and I cannot wait for the feature to become available.

Why take the least played platforms before the most played? I assume it's money involved, but atleast make us transfer progression and let us rebuy the dlcs. Game is too grindy atm especially if you've done it once.

It’s very likely that Sony and Microsoft didn’t approve (yet). And we don’t know if they ever will. Maybe they will have an update in the anniversary stream, but there is no guarantee for that obviously.
