Ironwill doesn't work sometimes

I play in PC and in my last matches i've noticed that even if I have ironwill 3 I can still hear myself under situations without the killer having stridor. I noticed it first while playing against doctor in Ormond resort (I was injured and no one else was around me and I could hear the grunts of pain and I believe I had madness 1) and with Freddy I noticed it in Macmillan Ironworks while being woken up by another survivor, I heard injured grunts from myself as if i didn't have ironwill, and I also had ironwill 3 and me and the survivor waking me up weren't even injured. This happened while playing with feng min in both matches.

    Where you playing Feng in the match against the Doctor? And could anyone else hear your grunts of pain in this match?

    As you said, in the Freddy match you weren't injured...Iron Will only works when injured, they are specific grunts of pain.

    Are you talking about grunts of pain or grunts from doing actions (cleansing, window hopping, etc)? Action-based grunts are not silenced, and as Mandy said, only grunts of pain are muted, and only when injured. When dying your pain sounds come back

    But iron will for example on ash mute and silenced all his breathing. Other survs have inbuild iron will even without and many times the grunts of pain on the ground doesn't work they make no grunts sounds

    yes, I was playing feng in both the freddy and doctor match, and it was grunts of pain as when you are injured, With the doctor I was walking (while injured) and heard the grunts of pain as if i had iron will 2, since they sounded low, i dont know if anyone else heard it since i played solo in both matches.
