GPU crashing or D3D device removed, and bans for it

suddenly, ever since the newest update, i have been crashing in game with a gpu crashing or d3d device removed notice pop up. and when i fire the game back up, i'm getting banned for 24 hours.
I run it on a surface pro 7 in the U.S.
Please help me on how to prevent the crashings since the latest update, and to remove my bans.
