Red Rank Camping
Went up against a level 2 red rank Killer and he was a Wraith and just camped and tunneled the entire time. All I ever hear is only noobs and such facecamp and tunnel but honestly it seems like red ranks do what noobs do. Only killers in the middle seem to not facecamp and tunnel. The whole thing feels like an endless circle graph. Bottom of the circle, you camp and tunnel, then in the middle you branch out cause you get more confident and skilled, then when the circle is about to wrap around you revert back to camping and tunneling. Just find it odd and somewhat amusing thing I’ve noticed in matches with red rank killers

If gens are flying etc then it's a legit strategy but if not and they're doing it from the start they're just trying to be toxic and make the other peoples game suck.
The funny thing is they probably went against a group of survivors last game that they thought were toxic and lost and cursed them out saying how toxic they were. Then they're now being toxic to you in the next match, kinda ironic really lol.

I had a match on midwich where I camped someone in a 3 gen. They were on second stage, already half way down and everyone else was either hiding or obviously baiting at the complete opposite of the hallway. It's definitely not the go-to solution, but works when used intelligently (ironically enough).

I wonder how everyone gets tunneled so hard; or if people's definition of it is just different than mine.
I was tunneled like two times today, and both times DS saved me. I've had far more killers who had chances to hard camp, tunnel someone, or do things and chose not to, then I ever have ones that choose to do that. I mean, most killers I get will actually take the loss of a kill even to not do that.
I like being tunneled tbh; I know I can run a killer, I take DS adrenaline and such and like running the killer. It sucks because I know I am not getting out generally, but I can usually keep them busy for so long that either all the gens are done, or teamwork forces them to go after someone else.

I’ve just noticed that both the lower and upper ranks of killers seem to camp and tunnel. Only the middle ones seem to not. But that’s just my experience.

He did right from the start. Only one gen was even done.

Just coincidence really, I often have the exact opposite experience. Assuming we are talking about actual tunneling and actual camping and not team mate induced problems or other things.

He's just going out of his way to be a dick then. Some people only play this game to make others have a bad time. He's probably the type to wind people up playing like that then when he's upset them and gets them to message him he'll make a YouTube video about how salty survivors are lol. People like that are best ignored just get out of there on the hook ASAP and just move onto the next match.

All night long. My opinion. I play console, whenever I’ve had a PC killer tonight, they’ve waited for the unhook and then rushed right back to the hook to either tunnel, or chase and down the player that unhooked. I had a Wraith tunnel me all the way through my BT. It’s some sort of BS flex, like they’re going to assert their digital dominance. Absolutely pathetic and ridiculous. So frustrating because the games are not fun, they’re just a toxic smack fest full of sweaty try hards.

I only tunnel the dicks who have zero skill and just try to abuse one pallet loop for the entire game

I come across plenty of red ranks that camp/tunnel. I feel like players say "only rank 20s do that, not red rank" for so many things in DBD that I see plenty of rank 1 and 2 doing.

It's a normal tactic. I don't care if I'm camped or the killer tunnel me and the match runs only 3 or 4 minutes. Easy gg and next match.

low ranks camps and lose gens cause of it. high-rank killers know when and how to camp and tunnel efficiently. prob why

Sometimes it’s a good strategy. However if you see the killer is clearly making some big mistakes and they resort to camp & tunnel off the bat its very likely they’re a victim of the emblem system and matchmaking. Both killers and survivors end up in red ranks by playing a lot when they dont belong there, for killers its often carried by camping and tunneling weak survivors and trusty old NOED.
Now they’re doing the only tactic they know to somehow try and stay afloat at red ranks.

I have noticed a lot of the time wraiths camp.
Because i run kindred i see that happening.
Wraiths ussualy spam the bell in front of the unhook survivor.
I dont Cate about proxy camp and tunneling because these are strategies.
Facecamping however is never a strategy in my opinion.

In my experience, Camping and Tunneling at red ranks is common and it is actually a lot worse than at lower ranks.
Most of the time, they (killer) know how to run tiles, and are semi-decent at chases in general... but they also know how to Camp and Tunnel without DS hindering their gameplay.
So yeah, contrary to popular belief, It is not something that is exclusive to “new” players.

Stop using the "itS a StRaTegY ThInG" its just ridiculous , ive seen enough of red ranks tunneling, slugging and camping at 5 gens. Thats why survs have to take perks against all of it.

I’ll be honest, I’m not a great survivor or a good killer. However I play a lot and now I’m in the high ranks and I don’t think I honestly belong there. I wish either the ranking system was tougher or it would give you an option to manually depip.
