Would you rather spirit have collision and no vault animation back but she's deaf while phasing
I was watching PTB gameplay for when spirit came out and I noticed she wasn't able to hear survivors while phasing then. Her phasing was also very loud for her which would make tracking hard but people were able to guess where survivors were with their collision and scratch Mark's.
I'm just curious how other people feel about PTB spirit compared to spirit now

I heard she was very weak in ptb since the vacuum sound was directional

There were some things that were wrong with her in the PTB that made her weak. It's funny seeing twitch chat saying she was a worse killer than wraith back then.
I do remember that when they nerfed her collision and vault animation that a lot of people said that didn't address the problems people had with her and I agree. Her collision was mind gameable by not hugging loops. I think the only problem people had with her collision was with old prayer beads.

Seen this idea thrown around a few times and I'm still against it. This would make her very boring to play as because it's now a complete guessing game on both sides and you haven't really fixed the problem.
I still think the only thing you need to do to make Spirit less frustrating to play against is to give the survivors a small hint such as grass moving when she phases through it. It's a better idea to add new things to the power rather than taking things away, because that's boring and now Spirit isn't fun to play as because you've taken more control away from the player.

I just want some faint sounds (her usual grunts and whines) that follow her when phasing, probably at about 25% volume. This way you can tell roughly where she is, but only when she's quite close to you, and only if you're listening out for her. That OR, she disrupts grass when moving through it.
I don't see why her vacuum sound being directional is an issue because you only hear that when outside of her terror radius anyway.

I agree entirely I think spirit has potential to be very fun to play against and no matter what they change/remove she needs something buffed/added to compensate.

I agree she needs some indicator for survivors without entirely removing her mind game potential. I think that's why she originally didnt have a vault animation because it made you wonder if she was phasing or vaulting which could zone you out of places.

The sounds were messed up and on top of that, sound was not directional at that point so yes, she was very weak. Sound got fixed a few months afterwards and they made sound directional, which made it impossible to lose her or even have a fair chance against her. She should make sounds every 2 and half seconds to know where she's at. She's very fast so you could still mindgame but its fair on both sides now.

When Spirit came out there were a lot of sound bugs with survivor breathing, footsteps, etc.
Even now, sound is still an issue.

She was junk on the ptb and she’s fine now.

She DOES disrupt grass when she is moving through it. She also DOES make noise when she is close to you. So....

Originally there was no sound for the haunting at all, so everyone just died in the ptb and nothing was learned. Might have been a bug though, because it was ridiculously busted

@Reinami She doesn't do either. She doesn't even move corn.
