It's the carbon monoxide poisoning from those generators.
Always practice safe handling with crude oil-powered machinery!

There needs to be a killer perk that makes a generator(s) more harmful to survivors, would be fun and interesting dynamic to the game.

If they are in a fresh open air space they will be fine :)
Some of those in door generators are probably a bit more problematic haha....

These survivors with no protective equipment and very little experience fixing generators. How are their hands not mangled at this point?
