Survivor Queue Time Differences

I play this game as a survivor main. I tend to hover between ranks 7 and 10. I am waiting significantly longer in lobbies the last couple of weeks. There's one person in my house that stays below rank 5 survivor and hardly has a wait. We even have a fairly new player in the house that hasn't gotten below rank 15 yet and they rarely wait more than a few seconds for a match.

I suppose it could be that the majority of survivors either fall into the higher or lower ranks meaning there would be fewer players to pair me with. If that's the case though it's been a fairly recent thing because I haven't had any real queue issues to speak of in a very long time playing this game until the past couple weeks. Anyone else having this issue or perhaps a different thought as to why my wait times are getting worse? I'm waiting at least 5 minutes most times for a match. It's not been uncommon lately to wait as long as 20 minutes for a match.

I do realize if the problem is my rank I could just get my ranks better and have less wait. I played between ranks 3 and 5 for a long time. The games were too sweaty for my enjoyment personally on both sides. I don't want to intentionally go to worse ranks. That would just mean playing with a bunch of newbies. That isn't particularly fun either.

It's reaching a point that's it's going to make me have to walk away from this game. I still enjoy it. But the majority of the times I play is when I have a 30 minute break between other things I'm doing. If I'm having to wait a majority of that time in a lobby I don't get to play.

Queues are mostly based on the time your playing. It gets significantly worse at night

Unfortunately I don't get many chances to play in the morning. My job is from home, and I have lots of 5 minute down times in the morning, but rarely more than that.

I'm usually playing afternoon or night. Is it getting worse for everyone recently? Until the last couple of weeks I rarely waited longer than 2 minutes even at night. Recently a 2 minute wait would be a huge improvement from what's been happening.

I dont know where you live and I am also rank 7-10 killer and survivor. Whenever I enter at nights survivor waiting times are really long. For the killer it is quite opposite and less than 30 secs I found a match. I think at night most of SWF came and this breaks the lobby time. So my advice is just wait if you are playing at night or change your play time for less waiting time.
