devs proved once again they don't ever listen to feedback with Trickster
MANY post saying he is weak, MANY videos saying he is weak, MANY saying ricochet should be base kit
MANY MANY MANY of everything, hey ricochet now ricochet twice.
MANY gived suggestions about how to improve the killer, gave ideas and suggestions to make the killer more unique and viable, it all got ignored ONCE AGAIN
I am done giving feedback to this game, or bug reports, I lost all faith in the devs, the fact they ignored feedback on this weak killer crushed the very little I had left.

You win BHVR, there is no point in PTB feedback, I thought it was bad before but this just.....I dunno. I am not even angry, I've kinda just moved into straight disappointment.
There is potential here, but BHVR just is not capable of grasping it and I am tired of how we have to scream, in droves of thousands, to get them to budge even a millimeter.

Relax dude, just because you suggested it and one other youtuber it doesn't mean that they're forced to do it. That's why it's called a SUGGESTION. They can do whatever they want and can add whatever they like. Scott SUGGESTED making his knives ricochet, but that doesn't mean that his wish is their command. I believe that it shouldn't be, for example, because it could be a bit overpowered basekit.

It isn't bait. My experiences with him were not negative. In fact, I did really well with him. I just found him dull. But remember, I'm also the guy who will take Spooky Myers out into big, outdoor maps and do well with him. Personal play style might have something to do with it. It might just be that I looked at him, decided what was most efficient, and only play that way.

Considering there are some good perk changes with Starstruck and Self Preservation, it's hard to say they never listen to feedback.
That said, we also don't know if there are any other changes that will help Trickster as the twitter thread was only a preview of some notable changes. Not all.

It was widely unanimous that he was a weak killer and needed help.
So they nerfed him. It just proves they're stubborn and have no idea how to balance their game.

He shuts down loopers. Since I am not the strongest Looper myself, and thus not the best at countering them, I found Trickster's power to be extremely effective FOR ME. I'm good at mind games. I'm good at finding people. I have a knack for situational awareness. These are all reasons I'm good at Spooky Myers. My inadequate Looping ability (which I work on constantly) is why I'm terrible at some other Killers. Trickster covers MY greatest weakness, and thus for me he was extremely potent. People who are already good at looping and shutting those things down probably wanted more out of the power as far as damage output.

They’ve ignored ricochet as bade kit suggestions because that would be BROKEN!!!
This community doesn’t do itself any justice, and paints an overall poor picture of itself, because it continually suggests unbalanced changes, and a lot of “majority” sentiment is just sheep mentality: “such and such said this so I’m gonna say the same thing”

I mean if you can aim why not just play deathslinger he literally does what trickster does but better.
That isn't a joke, trickster is just a deathslinger that is slower at ending chases but can deal with body blocking.

Making 1 ricochet basekit is not a gospel idea BHVR HAVE to follow, but it would be a really easy way people pointed out for BHVR to give Trickster:
- A significant buff
- A unique skill curve that seperates him from other Killers
- A unique selling point that seperates him from other Killers
BHVR didn't grant an alternative idea that helped with any of those issues people brought up, and if they did, they'd be riding the hype train right now. They made some QoL changes to Main Event and modified his Trick Knives addon. It's not about doing THIS specific solution, it's about attempting to fix THESE specific problems.
This isn't anything new, it's not the end of Dead By Daylight, and I have reasonable hope ricochets WILL become basekit anyway, as BHVR don't seem to think PTB feedback warrants significant change and appear to use it more for bugfixing feedback and tuning.

Deathslinger doesn't shut down Looping as effectively for me. But I'm not here to argue with any of you. I'm just stating the simple, honest truth; I didn't find him weak, nor do I think he will be at the bottom.

It's not like you will be able to consistently hit with ricochet considering janky object hitboxes,survivor movement and latency

No it wouldn't. The problem with it was aiming at people's feet, if you made that not a thing hitting a bounce throw is incredibly hard/rare to ever pull off outside of that.
Now, lets say you made that old purple addon basekit, he would STILL be too weak that is how weak he is. Like, the best killer players were using that addon, aiming at their feet, and still it took so long to down or injure someone they could have just mouse 1'd.
"Broken" my ass, they could have taken all his purple addons, made them base kit, and he literally would have just been a low to mid tier killer at best. Like, it's really hard to elaborate to people how bad this killer really is.

They've thus far ignored feedback on a lot of the map reworks too, and breakable walls. I've never seen a studio so determined to ignore the actual players.

They've never listened to ptb feed back ever. The only point of the ptb is just to look at the character and move on the next day. Nothing ever changes after the ptb. The only thing they have changed is perks. Mostly nerfs even if they're not necessary (coup de grace).

The ricochet addon increased (of course that's being changed in the patch) Laceration whenever you bounced. Ricochet doesn't inherently increase Trickster's damage output. If you combo it with the pierce addon, you could get +50% laceration out of every knife, but ricochet itself isn't really the culprit there.
In any case, IF that combo is/was overpowered, what exactly would making it basekit change? It'd just free up an extra addon slot. It's not like Trickster has zero access to ricochets and this is a hypothetical discussion, it's just something he can already do through addons.

If you want to ignore every time killers have received buffs from ptb.
Last Chapter, Twins got the ability to for Victory to check lockers and trap survivors in for a few seconds. And people were complaining about how lockers hard countered victor during the ptb.
Devs do listen to feedback at times and it's unfair to say they never listen to any.

But primarily nothing changes over the ptb. Just number changes on perks. You're right they did add the locker animation for victor a couple of weeks later. The problem with the twins is that a locker hard countered victor right? Well when the twins came out you could hit survivors if they were in a locker which alot of people thought that was fine but instead of keeping it they added a way to trap survivors in a locker which doesn't solve the problem with the twins the survivor can still escape.

The devs posted a blog stating they were going to add that in before the chapter released and it wasn't going to make it in time for chapter release due to needing to create animation for it.
The damage survivors through lockers was a bug.

That is an understatement. That implies that maybe he is at least a lower tier killer, but maybe he is fun to play.
What makes him different and fun to play, requires a purple addon, and he is probably not even a low tier killer he is worse than almost all the killers we consider to be bad right now.

I mean considering that deathslinger isn't that competitive and trickster as said is basically the same as him but easier he wont be strong or at least he isn't viable.
You can play whoever you want but it's painfully obvious that this killer just isn't that good in his current state.

You're missing the point bro. Whenever we get a new dlc mostly everything from the ptb comes out in the live server. What people want is the devs to look at what worked and what didn't. Instead what we got was just a nerf that makes absolutely no sense. Its like they don't listen to what the community and just do what they think is good. Until a month later when they decide to add a real change on the killers power its always been this way.

And I'm ceding that the conventional wisdom here is against me. :) It may well prove to be the case shortly too. I'm just saying that I did very well with him, surprisingly well which is sad because I didn't enjoy playing him at all.
