Question For Killer Mains

When two survivors remain sometimes our killer feels pity after hooking me twice. they let me struggle to leave their shoulder and walk away from them.

But eventually they are coming back to down me and killing me on the hook.

It always confuses me.. what they wanted me to do?

If you do the same thing, why do you do it?

Maybe for more points? Or perhaps give you a second chance. I don't do that personally

Some might just give you a second chance or some points but don’t want to gift you an escape.

some might want you to rat out your teammate because they want a 4K and/or more hook scores.

some may want to let you escape but after that change their decision because of whatever reason.

I could see doing it if they wanted to hook your teammate instead of you. Maybe was worried they were camping hatch and couldn't find them so they just got you

One last chance, a race for hatch, maybe you get 3 seconds after my stun before I give chase and begin "the most dangerous game"

Your the weak link but because your the unimmersed weak link, the killer appreciates you and wants to kill the other guy more.

    He let’s you go.

After you leave, he comes back to the realization that it would take too long and be too boring to actually track the other player.

    Killer returns to kill you.

I usually do that if the other Survivor is hiding all the time OR if I need my 4th BBQ-Stack (which most likely means they were hiding the whole time, lol).

And sometimes simply because I dont want this one Survivor to get away. So there are a few possibilities why a Killer is doing that in your game:

    • they feel bad for you
    • They thought you were playing really way and want to let you escape
    • They want to get the other person

    And probably many more.

I may give a second chance if the Survivor is obviusly out of my league because the matchmaking can be crap at times and the Steam profile is relatively clean (I always check before giving second chances and if I see several pages of "-rep tunnel and camps/toxic Survivor" or a VACban then its hookity hook time).

I do this often. Happened also yesterday to me! There was this Jake who I hooked and people would farm him twice in a row and when I came they stopped healing him and sprint bursted away. So before hooking him the 3rd time I let him get away and continue the game. But at the end I killed all of them. I let him play the game some more and dont lose a pip/ even have some points from my party streamers offering. Being killed by the killer is nothing a survivor should be afraid of when the game was good and I gave that Jake a 4th Hook stage and even tried to go for other people when I had the chance, I do way more nice stuff for random people then random people ever done for me.

They're using you to farm for points. Anytime this happens to me, I either DC or go AFK because the match is just over at that point.

    Point farming.

You're also getting more points for it. For chases and wiggling.

The match is already over at that point, may as well take the extra points.
