Any tips for Oni?

So I'm used to playing trapper here and I just brought Oni with my Iri Shards.

Had my first 3 games with him and it's clear I'm not really good at using the demon strike ability.

My normal M1 attacks land well though, I just don't want to be stuck without tapping into his full ability.

Any overall tips and tactics on how to use this killer successfully? I'm not expecting to get good at playing him instantly, here by the way. Just looking for a bit of advice :)

    dont use your power unless you see a surv.

    dont be afraid to cancel if you are going to overshoot them or if they are out of your 90 degree turn

    hitting the demon strike is easier from a bit further away

    run perks like infectious fright or i'm all ears (one of my favorites on him as it makes using it at a loop a lot easier.

    prioritize early hits over early downs (hit multiple people instead of downing one)

    remember both of his strikes hit multiple people so charge a slam if you see them unhooking in front of you

    dont be afraid to slug if you see someone

    dont be afraid sliding against walls

    break pallets with your strike and if they dont throw it down in time they get downed.

    at a loop fake one way and go the other way
