I've been maining this character for a long time now but I still am not sure how good the Disfigured Ear and the Granma's Heart add ons are I know the Heart is bugged at the moment though. Has anyone played against these? Want to know how much they affect survivors.

@Vietfox While that's good to know I was asking what it's like playing against Disfigured Ear and Granma's Heart (when it's fixed) I changed the thread title so it's more obvious now. Sorry the title didn't make it obvious lol.

Disfigured ear gives a sound effect like a explosion in a movie with that deaf effect.

    It's kinda irritating.

Does it stop you hearing everything? Like the terror radius and the Hag's teleport sound?

I really like using the ear. A lot of syrvivors will pop a trap and then think you didn't teleport to it and start working on something, unaware that you're there. Less viable in red ranks/against SWF(as most things are)

Think I'll start using them then. Sorta got a big stockpile of them waiting to be used

I like them partially because they don't actually alter her power or playstyle at all, unlike a lot of killers purple add-ons. It's just a direct addition to her traps and changes how survivors act when tripping one

They used to be terrible. As they would make the traps stay active for hardly any time at all. With the downside removed they do seem alot better. I actually like all of Hag's add ons though. Including Scared Hand and Water logged shoe.

Gramma's Heart is really nice IMO. If you set up your traps properly then you can get a free Insidious/Tinkerer effect and sneak up on people. I also rather use it with Mint Rag over Shackles because you can pull a lot more serious mindgame by teleporting to another trap near the one that was tripped and completely jump scare whoever hit the trap. It's a lot more effective than shackles because I find when you run shackles everyone plays EXTRA immersed, more than they even normally would against a Hag because they don't want to hit a trap. I'd rather they hit a trap, know it, then not see me coming from a complete different angle.

Can't really comment on ear, I don't use it. It could be useful in a chase, but IMO heart is way better.

I'll have to try that combo when it's fixed. I usually ran it with the turtle egg to keep my terror radius down longer.

Set up a "web" of traps so that you always have one nearby another if it gets hit. I have been using Whispers on Hag with MR/GH and when Whispers is dark I know I'm free to place traps. Then just track the direction the survivor is going, when they hit a trap then teleport to the next trap and a lot of the times you catch people because they are looking away from you.

That sounds like a fun strategy. I'll try that when I can. Thanks.

Disfigured Ear is interesting. While it doesn't technically change much, it's incredibly disorienting for people that cannot coordinate over voice with each other. The reason is, it does deafen you to every single audio cue, and this includes the Hag's terror radius AND teleport sound effect. Triggering this, you won't know if she's teleporting, or if you're about to just run right into her around a corner. In either case, it can cause people to panic and perform a 'loud' action and give themselves away. Personally, Hag is probably the rarest killer I face by a huge stretch, and I've only gone against a Disfigured Ear once or twice since I started playing last October/November--just to give you an example.

Granma's Heart, when it's not bugged to exploitable effect, is actually useless (imo). While it's like the new Tinkerer in an addon, I don't feel this innately offers an advantage because Tinkerer is not a perk she synergizes well with. Her ambush mechanic is strong all by itself, and her terror radius doesn't affect this, generally. Even in cases where you're trying to utilize it like Tinkerer, you'll find more reliability and overall synergistic strength to her design with Monitor & Abuse. I see a LOT of people use this addon, but I find it's a complete and total waste of an addon slot for anyone that even remotely has good awareness of their surroundings, and their audio cues.

Hag losing her terror radius and giving it to her clone will cause the same effect to survivors that are seasoned against her, and to those that aren't: people that are vets will watch and wait, and not make any loud noise notifications while they wait to see if she teleports, or is walking towards them; newbies will likely panic either way and run all over the place.

So, yeah. I find all of Hag's other now-buffed addons to be much better than Granma's Heart (other than Scarred Hand, but that can have its uses now).

I don't know. I think Granma's Heart can be pretty good when used right. And sometimes I do run Scarred Hand because survivors just don't expect it. It's hilarious sometimes to see them running into it thinking I teleported to it and then running back into me lol.
