Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Iri Head rework idea

We can all agree the Iridencent Head addon on huntress is very unfun to play against. I play alot of huntress myself and sometimes i wanna use my iri heads but without the belts however even than it feels really to strong so here is my suggestion for a new huntress add-on/rework for the current iridecent head

  • Reduces the amount of Hatchets by 3
  • When you hit a survivor the Entity Grants you another hatched in your Inventory

I think this is an increadibly easy yet effective change. You can potentially pair it with Cooldown addons to have machine gun hatchets that are never ending or you can combine it with belts to be more forgiving when you do miss.

Having it with infantry belt on an experienced huntress would probably be too much. As a fun addon I’d reduce it to 1 hatchet and give bonus points for each consecutive hatchet landed

While the idea of replenishing Hatchets via hits is lovely, I think it's a concept that would work best as a second Ultra Rare, which Huntress currently lacks.

Iri Head's ability to instadown is fine IMO, and actually kinda cool, it just needs limitation, like requiring hatchets to travel a certain distance before becoming instadown hatchets, or only working on fully charged Hatchet throws.

If the Iridescent Head is left in the game, it simply needs to be incompatible, i.e. not work with any other Add-on which increases the number of hatchets she can carry. In short, if you use it, one hatchet is all you get before a reload, period. There is precedent for this with Myers, who has several potent add-on(s) which do not work with one another. The Tombstone Piece for example will still take you out of Tier-3 even though you have the Fragrant Tuft of Hair which normally provides infinite Tier-3.

There is nothing wrong with the Iridescent Head except for the fact that its chief balancing downside is instantly mitigated by rather common, other add-on(s). All they have to do is make it incompatible with those and the issue is fixed.

its been said often, but just make it only insta down after 20 meters like deathslinger. Problem solved

and do you know how absolutely useless it is for deathslinger?

you can't keep nerfing killers though you trying to make survivor queues longer?

deathslinger's is bad because at that range you CANT reel them in, there its far too easy to get debris in the way. Huntress also still has the option to increase her throwing speed or to have more shots with hatchets.

Making contact with death slinger's was never the problem, its reeling them in thats rough. Tbh if deathslinger's did a health state with his iri when they break free if they were hit over 20 meters it would actually be really cool. It would make breaking line of sight your new focus, and it would make his iri actually menacing. But thats a bit of a different issue. The point is I think you're missing why the iri deathslinger add on is weak in the first place, which isnt a problem huntress shares

cmon you know theyre never going to fix busted addons... but anyways here is my rework idea:

just make it so it doesnt stack with capacity addons
