I’m starting to really not like playing against Nurse or Spirit

Tournaments in this game are an absolute joke. I'm specifically talking about the tournaments that consist of the highest level. I, and a lot others, love this game because it's a casual game for survivors to enjoy and have fun. I'm not worried about becoming the best player in the world, I just want myself along with the people I'm playing with to have fun.
ftfy i think this is what you really meant to say.
If you make all killers weak then you destroy the fun for killers when survivors GET GOOD and with time they will.

Because they don’t want to deal with survivors ######### and just want to win. I’d rather put the time into another killer and win through my own skill as opposed to winning because the survivors can’t see what I’m doing

At the highest level you'll reach a cap though where no killer but nurse and spirit suffice and survivors still are going very strong even against those. For isntance supalf is one of the best nurses around now and he scrims with oracle and agony and even he loses his games unless he literally 4 man slugs the entire team. I can be the best michael ever but his skillroof stops me fron reaching the highest level because of his limits as a character. What needs to happen is survivors and nurse and spirit and the other killers get a major rebalance that puts them all in a pretty even standing so you can see say like michael in a tourney without him losing instantly.

That is true but very little killer players want to do tournaments and usually are fighting average/good Survivors who can be beat with pretty much every killer. They still play spirit for two reason eith
- They enjoy her playstyle or design and would be fine with her being weaker
- They play her because they blindly follow the meta and need an easy killer to win with

You are not versing very good survivors are you?
Killers skill is literally meaningless against the hard coded mechanics of the game. AGAINST GOOD SURVIVORS.
I win plenty of matches and can't get out of red ranks. The thing is i am not delusional and think it is because of my "skill". it is because the survivors are potatoes. The moment you go against a decent swf you see how bias the game is and how underpowered the killers are.
The survivors objective is to quick to do if they focus gens and communicate actions.

How often do you fight a good squad compared to lower skilled players though? I do agree that a group of coordinated survivors who are good can be very hard but that doesn’t excuse nurse and spirits immense power
A lot of players play spirit to account for their lack of skill. This is why people generally hate nurse less since she does require practise to get the hang of
The meta for both survivors and killers needs to be changed and I think everyone knows this

You don't change the meta by nerfing the only viable killers left. You need to buff the others to the same level, just like solo survivors need free information and a chat wheel to be closer to cheat squads (swf)
My region has less players so most survivors in the reds are swf and i run into them daily. Larger countries have a larger pool of players so it isn't AS common but will still happen.
I am all for changes to spirit to make her less painful, but nurse has already been beaten to a pulp.

Spirit and Nurse are very unique killers so I tend to enjoy facing them because it’s a different experience from the other killers but they’re not particularly enjoyable if the player is very good at either one of them.
There is just not much to do in a chase against them. They’re the only two killers with limited counterplay, great chase potential, and map pressure. Throw on slowdown perks and it’s a nightmare.
I don’t run into many REALLY good Spirit or Nurse players. You can usually try things in a chase but those good ones? GG. You’re done. Game over.
Spirit and Nurse along with killers like Deathslinger and Hag are only enjoyable to face if the player is either bad or mediocre. If the player is great at them then it’s a slog.

But nurse is still the best killer in the game by a large margin?
Sure She’s more annoying to play as but she’s still way too strong. And yes I know she’s buggy that’s only more reason to change her power
No killer can be the same level as nurse without completely reworking them. Her power is so game breaking that you couldn’t buff up someone like clown to her level.
What you do is nerf nurse and spirit and then balance survivors around the killers like blight oni huntress and billy

you are right he does, especially when you play against higher ranks. i am rank 14 killer i get put against red ranks and i had only hooked them once they all left, but i have just started playing him again. Freddy does need skill to play especially if you are not using perks to make him stronger or the game easier.

Swf already break the game and even nurse struggles against them.
We currently have a revolving door problem with this game.
Player starts the game and is bad- player begins to learn the game and get perks- player becomes competent at the game and is still learning - player gets good- player gets bored and leaves.
We have this issue because the game is balanced for middle of the range survivors who haven't even figured out how to look behind them yet. If you don't balance for the top level then the game becomes stale and boring with no challenge.

You main Spirit but you complain that she's unfun to play against...
Why do you think that nobody plays the "fun" killers like Billy? Because Spirit, Freddy and Pyramid exist which are way easier to play and stronger. Why would your average gamer who wants to win play anything else other than them.

But what would happen if we balance for the top level? It would become a sweat fest. Scott made a great video about this and how it wouldn’t work

What is with this terrible mentality that good players should not verse other good players ? Why should someone with 100 to 200 hours have to deal with someone at 5000 hours?
Please explain how this is fair in any way.
If the game is BALANCED at the top level, then every game at the top level is a 50/50 on who will win and who made the right calls. How is this not interesting for people that have reached this level of play? I thought blowouts were the most boring thing in this game. If match making works then lower skilled players get lower skilled opponents as it should be. This obliterates the argument that it wouldn't be fun for lesser skilled people.

Because people need to get good. I may main Spirit because I really love her character, but I also play a ton of Blight who is waaay harder, because I would like to have a challenge to overcome. Spirit is just too easy for how strong she is and that’s an issue and it’s kind of drawn me away from Spirit recently.
I’m not asking for Spirit or Nurse to get nerfed to the ground, I just want them rebalanced and more in line with other killers in terms of strength and counterplay. Mastering either one is a 4k almost every game.

I pretty much agree. Hag is third best, then no one competes with Nurse or Spirit. The devs really need to rebalance these killers because of this new MMR system. Nurse or Spirit 99% of the time at high level, which will eventually cause a drop in survivor players and a long ass que time for killers.

Im taking a break right now but if I come back and only fight nurse and spirit I’m playing something else tbh

Honestly can’t blame you. Have fun on your break.

Well, you can thank BHVR for making Billy unfun and unrewarding to play instead of touching Spirit. Unless there is a higher reward for playing the harder killers, most people are just mainly gonna keep playing the easier ones like her.
