I just got Elodie and killers are focusing on killing me first.
Is there a hatred towards her that i don't know about?

I'm a Elodie and Adam maim and I haven't been targeted. It's most likely just a coincidence.

I've played her a lot recently to level her up to 50.
Cant say I have seen any specific targeting. Though, her orange top probably makes her easier to spot

It’s her deadly ability to find keys and escape. But anybody can unlock appraisal to use on other charges so I don’t know why she’d be specifically targeted. Racism?

I think people targeted (notice the past tense!) Elodie because if her scream. I would find myself tunneled, camped and hit while on hook. But that can be due to her screaming gets canceled when hit on hook, and for sound sensitive killers they need to hear (tell that to Huntress, Freddy, Twins and GF lol)
With the recent patch fixing her scream, I'm being targeted a normal amount of time.
I picked her because I like her lore and her Christmas sweater lol

Not everything is bloody racism. If that was the case, the Jake, Yui, Feng, Adam and Claudette would face the same fate as Elodie.

I hate Elodie because of her stupid scream that caused me physical pain.
I hate Claudettes because my first ever match was against a wannabe Ochido squad who were extremely toxic.

And you could never prove that people are specifically targeting Elodie thereby negating the point of this thread. But I have heard stories of people messaging other players not to use black characters and using racist slurs. Those cases, while rare, have definitely been proven.

Not everything is racism but that doesn’t mean racism doesn’t happen. Could be that certain characters are targeted first over others because of race, either consciously or unconsciously. Yes, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but people like this actually exist and play video games.

I never said it doesn't exist, but there are situations when race has nothing to do with anything, but it get's thrown in anyway. I'm tired of people assuming something negative happening to me must be because of my skin color, even when I messed something up, it will inevitably come up as the reason. Sick of it.

The OP was asking why Elodie is getting targeted. I said that there was no good reason for her to be, which logically means that what is left are bad reasons. Your sensitivity towards the subject has no bearing.

I don't feel targeted every game as Elodie. I've escaped more with Elodie almost more than my other main, Nancy.
But I do feel like Killers don't bother to hook me because they don't want to hear the scream (which I love, btw).
