I’ve been on these forums for only a little bit yet I’ve seen people who have like 15k posts or more. To those people I have some questions... What do you do for a living? How long have been on these forums? How much of your daily routine includes looking at these forums? Are you that invested in DBD? How many hours do you have on DBD? Etc...?

I'm only 7k but I can give my answer.
Hi, I'm Karu (though if I don't know you that well please use the full name lol), I'm currently a full-time student studying Law, Economics, and RS, and I check these forums often whenever I'm bored or travelling. It's more so that I had nothing better to do than I loved it here and now I'm addicted to everyone's... Let's call them hot takes. It's just a daily routine now that I check them on the train when I've run out of things to read lol.
I've been on these Forums since June 2018, and I've played the game since November 2017, with about 2.8k hours (give or take) in-game.
I like making shitposts more than serious ones, cause this place needs some damn positivity to it (even if people can't see through the bait and it's genuinely tragic). Used to post pictures of cute animals too but people would just reply with pictures of hamburgers/ribs so I've stopped that one now. Oh, and my spelling is genuinely atrocious.
Anything I missed?

I am a State Certified Forum Technician, I got my Master's degree in Forum Postology about 5 years ago at Trump University and thinking of going back for a Doctorate soon. I cultivate all sorts of things, such as up votes, tears, cow pictures, memes and salt. I then bundle them and sell them at a tidy profit to what we in the business call "Newborns." You should try watching a documentary called Dominion that's available for free online (googleable). I think you'd get a lot out of it.

That seal wants to sneeze but then he can't and stops wanting to sneeze. I think, anyway, I'm not as good with seals as with cows.

I've thought about it but I'm not looking to make my mental heath worse just for trying to make people's days better, at least not for now. I might do it again when I feel able to but the last one almost pushed me to tears so for my own sake I've stopped

1: Instrumentation Scientist. My job description says that but if you were to ask me. I am more like a scientist's minion. I have about 3 years of college education but it's all scattered and not in any particular field. There is a lot of work in a lab that does not require a Phd. You need training but you don't need to go to college for 7 years to be able to do it. So they get minions like me to learn how to maintain things so they can do their experiments uninterrupted.
2: I only have like 3k posts but if you were to add my posts from the steam forums it's probably up to 6k. I was banned from the steam forums for voicing my opinion too many times. I actually didn't mind because of how toxic the forums can be.
3: Had the game for 4 years but didn't make an account on this forum until I started my current job. The first month I was shadowing people and learning a lot of stuff. Then due to management not doing their job I was never assigned a project. For 6 months I came to work and sat at my computer with nothing to do. I read 6 books that had nothing to do with my job and I was getting paid. I was very vocal about not being assigned to a department. Everyday id ask my supervisor if they assigned me yet and he kept telling me "I'm waiting to hear back from them". So my job can't say I was slacking off. During my boredom I made an account on this forum and jumped back into the cesspool. As much as I hate the game I want it to succeed. Unless another game developer steps up and makes a real competitor.
4: Once my 6 month purgatory ended and I was assigned to a project I stopped coming here. Then the COV happened. My job requires everyone to work from home. The problem is there is nothing for me to do from home. I'm like a mechanic. I can't work unless I am in the garage. The good news is there's only 2 people who can do my job and they need the instruments operational all the time. So they didn't lay me off because I had gained some value. My job is considered front line. They even offered to give me one of the first cov vaccines but I turned it down. I believe in vaccines but with how fast people were trying to make this one, I decided to let someone else work out the side effects. So with my spare time I got back into this forum to keep up to date. I haven't really played the game in a year because it's growing stale for me and the last few chapters have been #########.
5: Have about 1k playtime into the game. Bear in mind I run BBQ or WGLF all the time so the grind has been cut in half for me. I have all teachables minus the twins chapter, 5 killers at P3 and 2 survivors at P3. I might come back when the DS gets reeled in.

Plus, being an interior decorator sounds sick! You can prove to everyone you're really creative and give them a great space to live in, and hopefully enjoy your time doing it too.
Anyone can study for factual subjects, it takes a lot more to be creative

Well some years ago i had some issues with my life and back then i didnt cared for school which caused my grades to be kinda terrible so it can be hard to get emploeyd somewhere. :P
Its still really fun and the bad stuff is over and i am loving my life now, even if i still have to deal with some concequences.

I still want to answer this a bit despite me only having like 400 posts.
I have social anxiety in real life so I've been spending the past month to hang over here to see if I could make any friends. It hasn't worked out, unfortunately. I wish things were that easy. Hopefully I still have the urge to stay on here though, I don't know.
After putting up with the torment my friends put me through, I had to leave 'em. Now I'm just a loner who talks to 3 other people individually because they're the only ones who support me. So now I'm just studying in my new high school and hoping to be able to make friends there, even if it's online.
I started playing DBD on PC in late 2018 with 1.8k hours at the moment.

Oof, I'm sorry buddy, I've been through the same thing, I was just socially stupid, and I ######### up so many times to where I should be in jail. I really wish I could take back the things I've done, but you gotta move forward, which is something I struggle at a lot

Straight out, high school is the worst. You'll find your people in time, just follow your interests, but don't worry about making friends in high school, that's just people who live in the same school district, nothing makes them any better than those you'll meet later in life. I'm 35 now, and can honestly say each year since 18 has been better than the last. Just remember all the BS you face in school is temporary. Hope that helps :)

I was a former store manager, mutual funds manager, real estate agent, and most recently an English teacher living in Asia. I just recently moved back to the states and finished my RN license (I have a previous degree in marketing as well). I’ve got 7,000 hours in the game and I check these forums multiple times a day typically as I’m quite invested in improving the game. I’ve been playing the game since near release, been on these forums since it’s release, and I was decently active back when it was just steam forums as well.

Its fine its just, I just wish for people to hold me up and keep me going, even though I have parents who love me deeply but I just don't wish to add on to their struggles already. But thank you man, it does make me feel better😊
