After the key nerf, nerf Franklin's
Right now, Franklin's is one of the only counters against keys. In that regard, it's fine. But holy ######### is it annoying to play against. This is another one of those perks that eliminates entire survivor builds in a mismatch. If you brought a good medkit, good toolbox, you're running Streetwise, Plunderer's, Built to Last, any of that: it's a waste when Franklin's is in play. I prefer the old Franklin's. It was actually balanced. It knocked the item out of the survivor's hand and even took away some of the item's charge. Now it straight-up destroys your item, which you spent up to 7000 bp to get, on top of any add-ons or item-based perks you had that match. What's next? Taking away our shards? Our devotion points? If items are so strong that they require a perk like this to exist, don't you think nerfing them instead is a better solution? Here's a solution for you: delete Franklin's.

...did you lose your lunchbox to franklins?

I don't see keys even being nerfed so I wouldn't worry about that.

They did announce that keys will be nerfed, but since they're so vague and procrastinating with that stuff, yeah probably never.

Tehe.

I just don't think they're that big of a problem.

You have a whole 90 seconds to go get your item. If you can pick it up in time, it doesn't do anything to it.
Franklin's is the only good anti-item perk in the game, and it's not even that great of a perk compared to others.
Buff Overwhelming Presence please D:

Hahaha! If only you knew how much killer I play.

And yet this thread has been made so many times the Architect from the Matrix has it on file.

Smart survivors just drop their items somewhere if they know they're going against franklin's. It's really not a terribly effective perk vs. people that know what they're doing or on comms.

Franklin's is fine. Losing an item sucks, but if you are suiciding to get your item back then you would have lost that item regardless. You can also counter Franklin's by manually dropping your item.
Besides items themselves can be looted in chests. They are only thing in the game that can be gotten for absolutely free inside the trial itself so it's fine if a perk exists that deletes them.

If a killer wants to waste a perk slot of it then ######### go for it. Annoying, yes. Good, no.
Especially in a swf where a teammate can just go pick up your good item, it really isnt great

Sometimes you lose your item and the killer simply won't let you pick it back up. So you don't always get a chance to drop your item.

why would you want killers to not use franklin's? when they could use that perkslot for even more game slow down or worse noed lol

This. It's like Lightborn.
The killer using Franklins/Lightborn, that offers no actual base gameplay advantage, is already a mini victory for the survivors.

I don’t want franklins touch just cause it’s hilarious watching survivors lose their items and they freak out. Can’t tell you how many times I would hit a survivor, they would then instantly come back for their medkit and I would hit them again and down them. Keep a memory of all the fallen items and you can be sure survivors are swarming around them like moths to the flame. They remind me of Gollum. “No! My precious medkit!”
