Why is Trapper the poster boy?
When he is probably the weakest killer in the game? This makes no sense. Trapper is perfect for the role of poster boy, but as that he should be among the three strongest killers in the game.
So you nerf Billy and soon Freddy ok then get Trapper up there instead. You know he deserves it!

Because The Trapper is one of the first original characters for the game.
First there was Wraith, Hillbilly, Trapper, Meg, Dwight and Jake.
(I think Bill was added slightly after?)
Anyway, two free DLC's came out; Lullaby for the dark (The Huntress and David) and The Last Breath (The Nurse and Nea.)
There's a buff for Trapper (hopefully) coming with the All-Kill release on the 30th. I hope that it actually buffs him to make him more viable in red ranks.
But yeah, as poster boy for DbD, Trapper had this buff a long time coming.

Buff the Trapper finally, the only changes he got recently were the ability to reset Traps and better RNG.
I hope they do more with him, like they did with Wraith, not in small chunks every few years.

Mario is the poster boy of smash bros but in the first three games he was bottom tier
He needs buffs yes but I actually don’t think trapper could ever be top tier due to how his power works. Nurse has no competition and never will

Just because he's the face of the game doesn't mean he should be the best in the game. I totally agree where he is at now is kind of depressing due to how outdated his power is, but I'm sure if they clean him up a little bit and give him more map pressure he'll be in a respectable spot. Plus I can only see a top tier version of trapper being incredibly irritating to face.

League of Legends, an extremely popular game used to have 'Ryze' and 'Katarina', 2 of over 100 character's, as their poster children.
What happened? their personalities were bland and ultimately not as interesting as other characters whom other people can relate to more.
So they changed the poster children to someone else.
Trapper is incredibly boring, he is a tall dude with spikes on his shoulder and a mask on. Meanwhile there are literal demons on the hunting grounds...get the picture?
They could change it to someone more relevant or threatening, if they cared to do so.

Trapper is not getting buffed this update he mixed him up with Wraith. Wraiths cloak speed is getting increased to 150% speed. There basically giving him built in windstorm so Wraith will no longer be addon dependent

First killer in beta was Trapper, then Wraith and Hillbilly were added not too long after
Dwight, Meg, Claudette and Jake were the 4 OG survivors, they're been there since the beginning
Then came The Nurse and Nea, shortly after we got Myers and Laurie, then Hag and Ace, then Bill, then Doctor and Feng, then Huntress and David.
Also no one said The Trapper was getting a buff, so Idk where you got that information

I keep having the DbD thought “Sure would be cool if they added a killer who uses traps.” But then I remember Trapper and I go brain dead.
Really wish they would buff him, or at the very least give him a ‘new’ trap. So many traps exist. Not just the ones to capture bears <_<

Billy should be the posterboy. Even after he got the nerf bat he's fun to play as and against, has a very unique look, and is one of the OGs.

yeah that's what i'm scared of. i want trapper to be buffed so he's no longer the saddest character in this entire game, but i also hate playing against him. if they were to rework him, i'd hope they'd focus on making him strong but also more fun to play against (i mean, that's ideal for any rework but especially him)
giving him more gameplay than randomly having the chase end because you walked in the wrong spot is pretty sleeper.

He is the Killer the Developers created fist and used to promote the game before it was launched, it was a case of first come first served.

They need to fix grass. Everywhere a trap would be useful is now barren of grass compared to pre map updates.

Trapper is the poster boy because he is cool, regardless of success rate. Of the originals he is the coolest daddo-o... just as Mikey is the bee's knees of the licensed Killers.
