Where did you hear of the game?
Personally, I would have never heard of this game unless I had downloaded Steam and browsed the store.
Even after that, it still took me a year to find it on there.
So where did you folks hear of the game first?
Interested to know if you think the advertising campaign for the game should be upped and where else you've heard of the game.

I saw a video on Youtube in may/beginning of june 2016 while DbD was in Beta. Even that youtuber that I saw was facecamping a hooked survivor lol, I like the game. It was completely something new to me. The atmosphere of horror movie in game gets me so well. When I bought it when the game was released, I really was so scared and mostly of the time trying to hide for no reason as survivor lmao... Old good days

Seen it on the Steam Store.
It was June 1, 2020. I was on the Steam store looking for a new game to get. I found a few games that looked cool including Dead by Daylight. I got the game and haven’t looked back since.

A random Noob3 video got recommended to me and I became hooked onto his channel. Eventually I decided to give the game a shot myself.

I saw the Bill trailer, but if I recall DBD wasn't on Xbox yet. It wasn't until the Clown trailer that I actually bought the game.

I watched HybridPanda when he was around, and also saw some earlier clips on newLEGACYinc., but it was HybridPanda who converted me.

I just randomly happened upon it back while it was still in pre-release while looking for something new to play.

It was the year of 2018. I was playing Friday the 13th: The Game with a friend. Jason wasn't really doing anything so we just kept talking, and when I asked him about game suggestions he mentioned Dead by Daylight. I bought it 1 month later, and on that day I found my all-time favourite game.

I just can't remember.
I think it was Twitch... but I honestly don't remember the first initial place. I know I followed up with watching Twitch vids to see if it was my cup of tea.

I've actually known about this game since 2016 - 2017 but I didn't take the plunge on it until later. I saw many Twitch streamers and YouTube vids on it though.

I was a fan of Evolve and Left 4 Dead back in the day, so when I’d heard there was another 4v1 game with Bill of all people in it, my interest was piqued. I checked out a few streams and thought to myself “I should try that game out.” I bought it around December 2018 after the Legion came out and have been playing regularly ever since!

My very first time seeing the game in action was at a friend's house, but at the time I didn't pay a lot of attention to it (This was back in 2017 I think). Some months later, for some reason, Instagram kept showering my feed with DbD videos. I eventually ended up watching a couple of them and I liked what I saw. So after like a month of randomly seeing DbD videos via Instagram, I decided to buy it, and here I am after 2 years.

It popped up in association with Friday 13th trailers on YouTube. I got interested with DBD when I heard rumours Michael Myers was going to be included. Got the game pretty much on release on PS4.

I actually have seen it in steam store when it was in early access or even pre-release. I remember there was some trailers from devs talking how revolutionary this game will be or something. I've been thinking that this game will be so cool, I'd like to play it. But I forgot to add it to wishlist.
Then after couple of months I found series of long letsplays from some guy on youtube. It was 2016, game was raw and had some serious issues with balance and performance. There was insta-heals, brand new parts were devastating, exhaustion perks could recover while you run, facecamp could prevent any attempt of saving, beartraps could be placed right under hooked survivor and on top of that this game could crash any ######### moment. But even then core idea of the game was interesting.
I tried the game on free weekend in 2017. My pc was barely run this game with 20 fps but I liked it anyway.
