Why does teabagging offend you or work you up?
Some random dude that you don't even know is doing it in DBD, why do you even care? It is not even real teabagging, because they are not doing it over your virtual dead body.
Or is it that teabagging reminds you that the survivor (or the whole SWF team) is a better player and you just simply can't accept this fact that they are better?

Never bothered me tbh. They’re not getting as much distance after a stun
6 -
It doesn't bother me much, but it still irks me a little that people want to use a strategy that provides no in game advantage and only exists to piss people off.
17 -
But so it still bothers you a tiny bit. What feelings does it evoke in you?
2 -
People are doing it to BM, and that's the only reason why it is considered as BM.
In example, in SC2 you tap pause before leaving the game to BM. There's no hidden meaning behind that at all, it exists only because you know what it means and your opponent knows it too.
Personally I don't care about teabagging, it is usually a bait into bad chase.
11 -
Interesting... so far it looks like noone really cares about teabagging. However in many threads people are raging about "toxic teabagging survivors" :D
8 -
I'll start of by saying that, unlike the others above me, it does get to me, but only when it's done at the exit gates.
It just feels like they're rubbing it in my face that I lost, and although I'm fine with losing when tbagging is involved it just annoys me. Usually it leads me to playing worse and getting more angry, causing a cycle up until I win or just drop the game for the day.
If I had to take a guess, I'd presume it gets to me a lot due to my mental state which, to put it nicely, is not in a great place.

Doesn't bother me. What bothers me is map spawns and a survivor that knows how to abuse the broken ones. Not my fault shack window leads into cow tree that leads into long wall window.... Its the over payed map designer's fault, that needs to sit down and re think what they are doing.
2 -
Well in reality there aren't that many people who actually care about t-bagging. There's only a small minority who do, and an even smaller minority that care enough that they'll create numerous threads on the forums and Reddit about how much they hate it.
5 -
It doesn't 'bother' me, but it does show that survivor to be a cocky little #########, but that's more on them than on me.
That's just easy shorthand for describing a set of behaviours most killers are familiar with. It includes flashlight macros, 360ing the killer, body blocking, etc. Survivors who know they have more power than the killer, and show off because of it.
5 -
Yeah, I mean, why get offended when someone flips you off in a sporting match?
It's bad sportsmanship, that's why. It's someone being a jerk. Someone taking time out of their life to be an arsehole. It's honestly sad and pathetic, especially since most t-baggers only t-bag at the exit or after predropping their way to victory. Wow, real mature, real fun. "Better player", totally.
29 -
This. 4 man coms with organised perks and a map offering.
1 -
It's a sign of disrespect. Nothing else.
10 -
I've never understood why anyone lets this bother them. On the flip side I've never understood why anyone does it to begin with either.
2 -
Poor sportsmanship and, I promise, survivors CAN leave without the killer watching them do so.
7 -
Bad sportsmanship, but it's ok, I'll give them plenty of time on the hook to consider how their behavior effects their playtime.
5 -
Pure unending rage.
5 -
Someone stuns me and they start going up and down like 5 times in a row, they're kinda just showing that they think they're the best player in the universe. Like calm down there, it's a stun. You can be "good" at the game without being a prick. Even then, getting a single stun in doesn't mean you're good
2 -
Because they think they're good when they're not.
Like cool, RNG held your hand more tenderly than your parents ever have. I guess that means you're better than me at the video game.
3 -
When someone flashlight clicks I think "oh he's cocky"
If I have nothing better to do I chase them I don't really care about the clicks
But if I see someone else, oh boy I will purposely leave the cocky survivor alone so they cannot bully me. They'll have to either do gens, which will make them bored, or they will chase me, resulting in either an easy hit or someone not doing gens, which is always welcomed
3 -
When I see someone teabag I usually think, "oh you're a cocky one. Gonna enjoy making you humble with my own BMs"
I will never BM unless the otherside does first (to teach them a lesson or try pull aggro from a tunnelled teammate). If I play survivor and see a teammate BM I will scold them for it at endchat.
It's just peeps being idiots and jerks. It adds nothing to the game and is only used to annoy someone you don't know.
3 -
Some people have less tolerance than others and take things more seriously than others. I'm one of them. Tbaging is a sign of disrespect to the killer. Survivors may not think that but to some killer players it is. If you are gonna tbag then don't be angry when the killer camps or tunnels you for it.
0 -
It shouldn't but it does shrug
I don't really know what you want me to say here. I get that getting pissed off at the game cause some ######### is gonna ######### is stupid but if I could just tell myself that and be fine, I wouldn't have any issue with it.
That's super that getting mocked for your failure in a game doesn't bug you. I wish I could do that but something in my dumb reptile brain doesn't click with that.
6 -
Good point, but isn't it better to just ignore and not play attention
0 -
It is better to ignore it yeah but sometimes its hard when the survivor is literally following you and tbaging you and every pallet
0 -
I mean, you gotta look at the benefits of it though, you have one less person on a gen, you can hit and run, etc.
0 -
Fair point
1 -
When a survivor who was on death hook and could have easily just be killed and I was in a chase with someone else ends up t-bagging me at the gates. That irritates me. When I force the stun to end a loop and they t-bag like there good when you did exactly what I wanted. i do that for 2 reasons I most of times get a hit and end the loop at the same time. I'm still confused on the whole sit at the gate until the killer watches me leave aspect of the survivor role even the ones who don't t-bag do this.
2 -
It's just a taunt. It's annoying and rude when someone does this to me, because I don't play killer like a douche and don't deserve the taunts. Gets you on my tunnel list for sure.
7 -
The simple answer is: because you just engaged in a match with them and everyone knows what it stands for.
With that being said, I’m not gonna let it “bother” me. Many times the t-baggers are the first ones to go.
0 -
I don't get it either. If I know the gates are opened I just go around breaking pallets, I don't go watch the display, so I imagine I leave a few Survivors disappointed
0 -
Its a form of BM.
For me, it's a little annoying, sure. I'll sometimes return the BM via head shaking "no" later in the match once the t bagger has used up all the good pallets so they can t bag and they end up dieing.
0 -
Because this game have no options to trash talk you when in mid game. So those happens as a sign.
The tbag action never offense anyone. The meaning behind it does.
Just image in middle of the game, a survivor able to out chase and hide, or a killer able to down you, in-game chat spawn "yo, u noob play like blabla". Steam toxic players arent able to do that, so tbag happens.
1 -
I think it works people up because it shows a lack of respect and sportsmanship to the killer. Like the survivor is looking down on you. It’s just comes across as very rude.
7 -
Why do survivors get upset when a killer hits them when they are on a hook?
12 -
the only time it really bothers me is when someone thinks they're better than me because I slaughtered as blought with 3 perks level 2 and 1 and then they get hatch
0 -
Technically, it’s just moving up and down.
In actuality it’s a sign of bm, which is usually unwarranted, and even if you don’t mean it that way, that’s the way it’s perceived.
if the killer smacks someone on the hook a bunch, nods their head at you after a down, slugs you and stares at you/ camps your body, camps the hook, or tunnels unnecessarily then tbags are deserved imo. Especially at exit gates.
But If the killer is playing fair I think it’s unnecessary, and as a killer main if it’s done to me I will make sure they don’t get out. Unless they do it lure me into a god tier chase but that’s 1/100 matches. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Plain and simple
1 -
So you know that guy you played a few rounds of tekken, street fighter etc. That guy who every time he won he just rubbed it in how amazing he was. T-bagging basically gets across the energy of ha suck it. But there I go talking about foreign concepts like manners and respect everyone knows that the way you get attention is through being rude and disrespecting everyone because those clips and videos need validation.
I get that your just hitting your control key what's the problem and tbh I know its a strat for pulling aggro one that works on a lot more killers then you think. But again that kind of eat ######### trash talk like playstyle is really ######### part of gaming as a whole. You wanna do it that's fine but I have seen many who embrace it also get annoyed by it. I'm not trying to make villains out of people who are out to have fun I just want to appeal to peoples honest competitive spirit to try to be a little more respectful in dbd. This goes for killers too.
2 -
Mainly just annoyance.

When people talk about "toxic teabigging survivors" they're not JUST talking about teabagging. They're talking about survivors who use every BM in the book. They're usually part of a boosted SWF on comms. They always have a map offering. They're playing 2nd chance perks: the game. Their teammates usually have BNPs and instaheals and keys. They'll often have OoO so they can tbag you from the opposite side of the map. They'll clicky-clicky their flashlights and tbag you at every pallet. Then even after you beat them by playing fairly They'll be super rude in the post-game chat and call you a trash killer and tell you to uninstall the game. And God forbid you're a lower ranked killer going against these creeps. They'll say "gg ez baby killer" and other nonsense. Their goal isn't to win, it's to bully the killer so they can feel better about themselves.
The kicker is that they're never actually all that good. They just hug super safe tiles all match while their teammates push gens. They'll drop God pallets instantly and then tbag because running to a safe pallet and pressing spacebar makes them 'a better player than you'. I've got too much skill and experience to let cretins like that bother me, but they're hell for newer players to go against.
6 -
So what you're saying is you are offended by someone crouching, standing up, crouching again repeatedly. Got it! Love the sensitive people in this game/community 😂
1 -
I mean I don't really respect tea baggers at the exit gate, but I don't really care if they do it during the actual game. People just love to be cocky, but you shouldn't be pissed by that once you beat them.
1 -
only worked me up once and from then on it never did again or would i allow it too... i am in control of my own feelings and i decide what irritates me.
0 -
I hit someone while they vaulted a pallet and then they teabagged me for being on the other side of the pallet even though I literally just hit them while they were vaulting. I also downed that same survivor earlier with make your choice.

What is bm?
0 -
BM stands for Bad Manners
5 -
For me, teabagging (typically) is done to taunt/jeer at the killer in a way that can't be done with any other mechanic during the game. While I don't personally get worked up about it, I find the behavior itself to just be rude, and so as killer, I make a point to show those who teabag who can really be in control (I generally play for points/hooks, not kills) if I really want to be. Teabagging just perpetuates toxicity in this game IMO, so I do my best to give ego checks to those who do in the hopes they won't do it in the future (like that will ever happen).

People who get cocky tend to bm then dc. Like explain that to me?
1 -
Killers camps / tunnels = crying in the post game chat
Killers plays fair and you make it out = t-bagging at the exit gates
People are trash.
8 -
way i tea bag as a killer, i uhhh down them and like stand by their head and ummm i got back forward a few times and recently i started to like growl with my chainsaw i go like ummm vroom real fast not like umm a long rev but a tap so ummm its growling like, feels good man.

It is bad sportsmanship; that is enough reason to consider it bad for the game and idiotic. There is a reason the NFL (and other sports franchises) fine the crud out of coaches and players who engage in it. When you are playing a game (amateur or pro) against other people, a certain degree of sportsmanship is the expectation. Doing otherwise is betrayal of that social contract. You are being rude to be rude. It is like weird, juvenile people who flip the bird at strangers or yell insults to people for no apparent reason. See below:
Games are supposed to be fun, and adding some kind of weird insults outside of the game itself just to try and aggravate other people shows you to be a defective person, not worthy of my time. Why would I want to throw any games your way when there are people who are worthy? Killers who hit people on the hook are engaging in the same bad manners. Killers (like Ghostface) who can tea-bag players deserve the same contempt. I don't let Tea-baggers trigger me, but that doesn't mean I approve of the behavior or cut said people any slack whatsoever.
