Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

    Hook Suicide

Does not award other survivors BP

If not in basement removes a hook from the match, depending on hook could save survivors later in match

Chance survivor could kobe which will keep them in game longer

Distracts killer for time it takes to chase, down, and carry to hook

Hatch will not open until sacrifice animation completes

If using Kindred it will still work for time survivor is on hook

    BBQ still works

Still able to use other hook related perks

While carried other survivors can still attempt flashlight/pallet save

If close other survivors can unhook preventing suicide

    DC

    Awards survivors BP

Less BP for killer than sacrifice

    Allows hatch to instantly open

Instantly allows killer to move on to another survivor

    Avoids BBQ

Removes any hook related perk uses

    Other survivors cannot prevent

Killer can also DC, which will instantly end match and give survivors escape BP

The ease of tracking it, really. DCs are easier to detect and punish it. Hook suicides are slightly harder. But the fact that people hook suicide now instead of DC shows that it is completely the community at fault, and that DC penalties do work.

I think you can still get banned for it if you report someone, it's classed as rage quitting (I think).
