Whats up with the pallets?

Hey Guys, i play both sides while i heavily lean to the killer side. I noticed that the behaviour of Pallets seem to have changed since the release of the new chapter.

Let me explain: Usually if i did not respect a pallet as in not beeing near it within a 2-3 metre radius i got stunned. It honestly felt like bullshit a lot of times and i did notice that i got a lot of stuns as a survivor the same way.

This has not occured since the new chapter has been released. Sometimes it even feels like i am not getting stunned even though i should have been. Im not saying that its broken now. It might just be, because the stuns were just pretty bullshit sometimes before.

Did anybody else notice this? I could not find a note in the patchnotes. Was this an intentional fix? Is it a bug? Its a pretty huge change in gameplay actually, since i do not worry much about respecting pallets anymore.

    I was going to make a post on this but the mobile forums are unbearably broken so I decided to wait for somebody else.

    Yes, I have noticed that pallets are broken on both sides;

    As a Survivor vs Oni, I dropped a pallet and he downed me through it but didn’t get stunned. Granted, he was a rather laggy killer, but even if he was he should have gotten stunned.

    And later I played several games as the Wraith to enjoy his buffs, and have not been getting stunned when I obviously should have. I even managed to down someone through a pallet drop without getting stunned.

    It’s actually kind of refreshing in my opinion that the pallets are less safe, as Killer and as Survivor, but I must admit that this is not a new bug. The same thing happened, I believe, when the developers removed the pallet vacuum, or some other time in Mid-2019. I remember watching Monto’s videos prolifically and he mentioned several times that he should have been stunned and not hitting Survivors through pallet drops without getting affected by them.

    Something in All-Kill has brought back the old pallet bug. Now while on the one hand I do like that the pallets are less safe - again, as a Survivor and as a Killer - this should definitely be fixed as it’s not how the game is meant to function. I just hope that BHVR don’t break something else when they fix this pallet bug.

    Operation Health when?

    Pallets are broken because almost all the pallet drops that should stun wind up sliding me or the killer to the same side instead of stunning.

    The Devs messed up how stun mechanic works. I'd assume it's because they looked into it to incorporate smash hit.

    I was hit dead-on by a pallet yesterday but didn't flinch, even I was like "okay, there's no way that shouldn't have stunned me". Then half the other times it seemed to stun me from a foot away.

    In addition to the pallets the map rotation is broken for a lot of people. I made a thread about it and had it confirmed by half a dozen others, some of us are only being offered something like 10 maps from just a few realms. I haven't seen a single indoor map in days, meanwhile others are telling me that they wish they could have even one match on the Autohaven, Mac Estate and Chill Farms that I keep getting a constant rotation of.

    But I at least feel comfortable in the knowledge that all of these breaks and bugs were necessary to provide us with the coolest and least irritating killer in the game's history.

    If something literally as simple as “if equipped then when pallet drop = Killer stun, then 150%m/s for 4 seconds” broke the entire pallet mechanic, I have very low hopes for both this game and the developers who work on it.

    Welcome to Dead By Daylight. The place where every change will bring a few bugs with it. Or it'll just straight break something else unrelated.

    I dropped a pallet just a bit ago before the killer even began to swing or reach the pallet. Usually I'd expect him to smack the pallet or possibly get stunned if his lunge got him close enough. Instead I got downed and he wasn't stunned. It was such a blatantly wrong hit. It's like the game isn't registering them being stopped by the pallets till it's 100% completely fallen or till their lunge is finished.
