Coldwind Farm: Problem? Or not?

Maps are an interesting topic, some are killer-sided, and some are survivor-sided. This isn't a map per say but it IS a realm that has not had a rework.

So... opinions on the realm? Or just any opinion on any of the maps.

I don't have a problem with the coldwind maps whether I'm playing survivor or killer but I will admit some variants like Thompson house and rotten fields I fell like there is too much dead space in some section these maps the can be very beneficial to killers like huntress, deathslinger and oni because you have no walls or structures to break their line sight, I know people will try to say stuff about corn vision and all of that, I'm not say that these killers are busted on these maps by any means but they do benefit a lot more because of all of the dead space.

i feel like maps like backwater swamp and red forest are more annoying to play on in my opinion.

I'm worried about where they're going to desperately force breakable walls in this one to convince themselves it wasn't wasted dev time/money

Outside of Creek and Cowshed I like them as killer and enjoy them as survivor.

Less corn. That's all I ask. Too much room for Claudetes to sneak.

I think the old maps, cooldwind, macmillian and azrov, are just best maps to play both killer and survivor. And I never mind if I am sent to one of those. Also the reworked macmillian and azrov aren't the same and I hate all the reworked map. I like the og dbd, gens, maps, pallets and locker, hatch, movement etc.

If they rework Coldwind every building is going to get 8 breakable walls that turn the buildings into infinites until you break every single one.

The only thing i hate about Coldwind Farm is how insanely good Fractured Cowshed is for survivors.

Really feels like Old Ormond with the crazy setups it can spawn.Rancid Abattoir can be pretty unfair too if it decides to spawn cowtree next to 1 jungle gym and a good filler pallet

the only problem with it is that playing blight on it sucks

  • I used to hate these maps more than any other (at least as killer) but somehow these days they have made worse maps.

Honestly coldwind hasn’t been as bad since they made some changes last year and lowered the safety of some of them (like removing the 500 pallets on thompson house)

The worst for survivor feels like rotten fields since a lot of it is open and empty

The worst as killer used to be rotten fields but recently I feel its Torment Creek. The main building has good windows but a lot of surrounding pallets that chain into it so its like Fort Knox, very safe and time consuming.

These days if I spawn in on Coldwind I’m just thankful it’s not Badham.

The Coldwind Farm maps are (give or take depending which one exactly) some of the most survivor sided maps. There's a reason most SWF squads send you here bar having a Haddonfield offering. Generally speaking just seeing this map drops your chances of winning as killer significantly. Depending which one they are either too big or a ton of extremely strong tiles that can be chained together.
