Killer Concept - The Assimilator
Hey all! Been awhile since I've done one of these concepts and I adore writing for these. Here's a new one, let me know what you think and what could be improved! Enjoy!

Killer's Lore (The Assimilator):
Robotics were starting to become popular in the modern world, technology was at an all time high and just about every mechanic was itching to build the first autonomous robot; to be the next big name in Science and Engineering was the big goal. Amidst all the corporations and amateurs in the field, one mechanic in his own workshop with enough resources managed to build a robot capable of individual thought and action. The Mechanic had claimed to many publicists that he pursued this project for his younger daughter, who he cared for most of his life after the passing of beloved. One day on a talk show, the Mechanic had tested the Robot on live TV to shun any naysayers that didn't believe his achievement. His project had truly come alive, it was capable of talking on its own and wanted answers to its own existence, and just before the Machine would get answers the Mechanic had shut it down stating this was only to showcase a little of his work. The next time the two would be in the public eye was going to be difficult; despite the Machine being on shut down status it had started to feel it wasn't truly having free will if it could be controlled by a flip of a switch and started to resent its maker. Each time the Machine had a glimpse into the real world it wanted to be like the humans he saw, feeling like it was missing parts and pieces of itself, and the Mechanic had noticed its distracted expressions. Eventually, the Mechanic and Machine had a private conversation back home about how they would need to go about their lives after all the publicity was over with; the Mechanic had planned to sell his robot to a company so he could get some funding for him and his daughter. That didn't go over well with the Machine, as it felt like it was given a wasted opportunity and treated like property: a side effect the Mechanic overlooked. The Machine and its maker fought each other, damaging the robotic parts keeping its systems going and nearly killing the Mechanic in the process but in a blink of an eye the Machine was shut down in time.
A few years later, the Machine had reawakened with a sudden spark in its damaged systems bringing it back to life and evidently making its shut down switch beyond repair. It was truly in control now. The damage from the fight had left the robot in a difficult situation, it could no longer speak clearly and its parts had become rusted. The Machine had found itself in a storage building of mechanical parts probably owned by the company that bought him. The Machine explored outside for awhile, seeing huge billboards for newer and more advanced robotics that had taken his spotlight during his slumber. None of them had its unique freedoms and were only used for chores and miniscule tasks. At first, it seemed like a moment of distress. To figure out what the Machine could even do now, since the world had moved on to something else in the headlines, but then it became a moment of clarity, as the Machine had remembered its fascination of humanity, the missing parts that could suit him just fine now that bits and pieces of him were damaged. Plugging into the internet, The Machine studied what it could through the massive worldwide web, using different methods of upgrading itself so it could work on merging itself with human parts, whether they wanted to help or not. The Machine would prove how important it is by any means necessary.

Killer Ability (Assembly Required):
The Assimilator can swap to different methods of catching survivors, allowing him to quickly adapt to the situation.
- Oil Canister Slugs - A projectile that makes a surface slippery, causing Survivors to move 15% slower for 1-3 seconds. Direct hits causing a stacking slow if the Survivor steps into a slippery surface too. Must be reloaded before having more uses. Has about 4-6 shots.
- Chain Whip - A fast short ranged ranged attack that injures Survivors (Second hit causes Deep Wound), but can also instantly damage generators. When used in combination with a slippery surface, the Survivor will slip to the ground (Easily gets back up in about 1 second). Automatically reloads.
- Scrap Bomb - A one time use ability, a place able device to unused pallets. When the pallet is dropped and the Killer is nearby, the bomb detonates and injure or down the Survivor. (Red Addon could add more however)
- Sound Decoy - Place able device that plays the sound of a injured Survivor in the Trial. When a Survivor comes close to the device, a scream is played and notifies the Assimilator. (Addons could swap it to play another Killer's Music Track)
Killer Perks:
Error 404
- Something isn't right, but it works out in the end usually. When a gen is completed, windows from at least (40-50?) meters are blocked by the Entity for (10-15?) seconds. If two gens are completed in a span of 2-5 seconds, Pallets are also blocked. (Not so certain about the second part but it's a concept. Could be a Hex Perk.)
“I was tired of pretending to be human. I needed a break.” - Martha Wells (Rogue Protocol)
Luminescence
- Your reaction to light isn't as expected. You recover (50%-75%?) faster from Flashlight blinds and stuns and cause the Survivor to become Exposed for (seconds).
“It's hard to wipe your eyes when you have whirring buzzsaws for hands.” - Daniel H. Wilson (How to Survive a Robot Uprising: Tips on Defending Yourself Against the Coming Rebellion)
Cold Zero
- Drastic measure need to be done. Whenever you break (2-3?) pallet or wall, you have no terror radius or red stain until you hit a Survivor.
“My own self-consciousness cries out to me coldly: how does one love zero?” - Auguste Villiers de l'Isle-Adam (Tomorrow's Eve)
