Surge is underrated even with M1 only killers
trapper wraith nurse spirit deathslinger, so many killer can get value out of it, shame it's honnestly not that used at all

its alright. but you have to build around it. running surge with no other regression is way too weak

I use it very often on Deathslinger. It's a great perk held back by the M1 condition, wish they made it work with all downs, not just M1 ones.
Anyone not using it is missing out, it's really a great perk when used properly.

Too many situations where you miss all the gens, especially on giant maps. Even when you do, 8% is barely passable for a perk with a cooldown and a downing requirement.

well even tho I agree this perk shouldn't have a cooldown at all, the fact is once you trigger you you pick up, hook, go for another survivor hit twice, by that time you might have the perk back already so you have it's value

Surge is okay, its not terrible by any means but its biggest problem is that it competes with ruin/pop for a slot.

Its really only good on high mobility killers who don't want to waste time kicking gens because they can jump to another part of the map.
On that note though, i'd like to see i buffed to 13%. This would put it on par with Pop, being about the same as pop (slightly better because you don't have to kick a gen) if you hit 2 gens, which only happens once or twice a game. But better than pop if you hit 3 or more which is really rare and hard to setup, but still strictly worse if it only hits 1 gen.

I tried it for a good while and...I feel very mediocre when using it.
What i dislike the most is the cooldown, idk why i can't be rewarded for downing 2 in a short amount of time.
Other than that, like i said, i feel mediocre: You remove 8%, which is about 6 seconds at most, and then apply regular regression, which is nothing a nearby Survivor can't resolve with 1 tap.
I prefer removing a good chunk of progression on a critical Generator using Pop.

In fact I think Surge needs a buff to compete with Ruin/Pop. Its actually pretty underwhelming compared to those two, specially ruin+undying which is the best gen regression set you can have.

I run surge with pop. Any time you get surge on top of a gen you just popped it's sublime. 33%+ regression? Unnnfff

fair enough, if there wasn't any cooldown tho the perk would be really decent

Each proc on surge is takes about 6.5 seconds for a survivor to fix back up. so that's not all that great.
The real benifit is, simular to ruin, that you don't have to waste time kicking the gen and for every 4 seconds that pass another second get's added to the above. And seeing how you are close it will take a while before survivors will touch it probably so it will scale rather fast.
that it works with regressing gens is just a cherry on top. It's pretty good.
The m1 requirement and the relativly short range does reallly hurt it though

the cooldown is that hurt the perk the most imo

Ruin and Pop work fine for and I can win good teams with them soo....
