3v1 is massively harder to win. Traitor or afk person now will give more time while dying than before which is good for survivors. Even if he crouch around he will distract killer with his presence. It's definitely better than if he suicide. Not only killers will get more points. Survivors also get points for altruism. I don't see why you complain.

It's only bad for one type of survivors who have 1 billion rules of how game should go, and if one of this rules is broken, he suicide. Not anymore. It now takes time, that required for his unlucky teammates.

How can't you see it's good for both sides? Especially for survivors.

Why did this take literal years to change, though?

Well, this is a massive end game nerf for survs. When 2 survs are left, you're giving the killer a minute (minus the penalty) to find the hatch

you say this like the killer wouldn't just slug you to find the hatch if he cares about that...

Eh, that's not 100% accurate. Yes, the more precise timing will be gone, but you'll still be able to elect to not do any skill checks, which will make you die faster. We'll all need to get used to it, but this is a change for the better - even if you aren't someone like myself, who has hand/arm troubles, your keyboard will thank you for not pound-spamming keys.

Also - given the responses above, a lot of folks somehow seemed to miss that this was about accessibility, not preventing easy suicide on hooks.

Removing more options to leave the game is always bad.

(And no I'm not thinking of rage quits, but of strategic play)
