Why are people so mad with trickster buff?

I downloaded twitter just for dbd and saw a bunch of hate comments saying that trickster is already strong and "its a new killer, you won't get good with him directly so don't ask for a buff"

This is one of the few patches im looking forward to, sure it's not a major buff and main event is still kinda bad but the fact the devs didn't wait for their useless statistics to make a change is a huge win.

They wanted his speed changed and more changes to Main Event.

Speed change because it is difficult to maintain line of sight with survivors, regardless of Knife accuracy.

Main Event is only getting a small speed increase when people wanted it to be A.) Activatable and B.) Control the Knife throwing.

The buffs are all around good, some people just think it is not enough and/or focusing on the right things.

It's good buffs and I can't wait to test them.

BUT I think they should have focused more on main event, it's what make him different from other ranged killers and it will still be really bad and extremely inconsistent after the buffs so that's kind of sad.

Do you think this is bad? I have something worse:

"Why are you buffing the most op killer in the game. I think he needs a nerf."

I will not name the author, of course, but just take a look at this. I don't even know what to say.

Not gonna lie to you he is pretty strong in sense of he starts the trail with 60 knives 😂 I mean even playing him as a killer that's mental and can see why survivors are going mental.

He either needs a nerf on the knives or a buff on speed. To have both skills would be ridiculous.

I mean you have 8+chances to avoid being injured.... huntress only needs 1

Not to mention with his current recoil you miss at least half while only hitting 6

I'm just happy they're removing spread and greatly reducing recoil. That was the biggest change I wanted. The faster movement speed while throwing and activation is also gonna be nice but he's actually gonna feel fun to play now, the recoil and spread are what make him so infuriating to play because you weren't rewarded for trying to hit someone at a distance.

It's either just survivors who are really bad or want killers to be weak so they can click and teabag them and get away with it.

People like that shouldn't be listened to, he's one of the weakest if not the weakest killer in the game and needs some improvements to become even viable against decent survivors.

Survivors complain about literally any killer buff.

When wraith was buffed but was bugged out so he was arguably worse they said he was "Overbuffed and is OP".

That is the level of cluelessness survivors mains have, just ignore them there is never any point in talking with them.

Yeah man I know that the amount of times I've avoided those to the sweetbag is insane.

I'm just simply saying that's what most survivors are moaning at.

You move between 96 % and 92 % now while throwing, which is quite decent.

And 96 % during Main Event, Nurse speed basically and we know that Nurse losed distance very slowly.

It ain't going to do #########. You put effort into put knives into somebody but have to give up the chase, that effort is wasted. This is why he encourages the tunnel which many people would say is bad.

If leaving the chase with knives in them did something, he probably wouldn't be so bad.

At least plague's infectiuon does something when she leaves them....

Honestly I'm just glad they didn't listen to Almo for this one, I would have been SO pissed.

Also, Twitter is either full of trolls or Steam forum players.

It might sound a little far fetched, but I honestly think we can (at least partially) thank Home Sweet Home Survive for those quick changes to Trickster. More and more streamers have been unhappy with this DLC and the way, the whole community was ignored after they gave feedback on the PTB.

So they either uninstalled the game completely (at least for a short time) like Pug, or started playing other things...one of them being Home Sweet Home Survive. And for the first time ever, I feel there is real competition for DbD, so they had to do something very quickly. I hope it stays that way, a little pressure might get them off their high horses!

I am not mad? Who is mad? I am waiting for play as him. I hope they buff him soon.

I just wanted Main Event to actually be a main event and not a lousy sideshow
