Hook changes/ideas
Hooks right now promote and reward camping and tunneling which isnt fun on both sides imo. People have suggested bloodpoint changes depending how far you are but thats telling the player to go away from the hooked survivor rather than make it less useful.
In game design punishing or preventing people from playing a certain way often makes the game less fun as it forces a strategy so what they have done with perks such as MYC and BBQ are decent ideas.
Though i believe we should instead reward killers during the game without perks. This would be a small buff to killers but promote hooking someone else. So the idea is having a % regression speed in gens, per hook. not a huge percentage though something like 10% on first hook and 13% on second hook, this should be tested in ptb imo since this could be a reasonable addition to the game but it doesnt stop tunneling, it only promotes more hooks so...
The other idea could be to have a speed boost after being unhooked so soft camping then tunneling the hooked person wont be as easy or viable especially with borrowed time. And the unhooker should be fully healthy so they can get a speed boost when they get hit, so that wont matter unless killer has MYC.
I feel that the person being hooked shouldnt be punished by a 2 minute wait until death, its just boring gameplay for them, the problem now is what if the killer facecamps anyway, well i guess they would only get one kill, maybe 2 kills if survivors are too alturistic and basically suicide, but 2 minutes is a long time and 2-3 gens could be done in that time so thats a hard crutch on the killers side, also why does insidious exist xD
Id like to see your guys's thoughts and ideas below, im quite open-minded about this since there are many ways to go about it, for all i know these ideas may be dumb, id like some input
