Why is no one understanding this???
You lot are saying to buff solo players, do you not realize that the reason why you all have trouble finding matches is because the killers are dwindling??? I do agree that buffing solos is a right move but you guys are getting the order wrong. It's buff killers then solos, unless all the survivor players are going to step up and start playing killer otherwise stay silent about things you can't even understand. Also note the amount of killers that have to make up this fanbase is approximately 20%. To put this in perspective when 1,200 survivors are playing only 300 killers need to be actively on so there isn't a waiting issue. The fact that servers are struggling to even put you all in a match because of lack of killers must have to tell you something is wrong and no it's not on your side. Seriously can you guys even think critically for a moment? If survivors start to get more buffs you will most certainly lose the killer base and thus the game base. Well this all remains true until bots become available then this will surely change everything.

Buffing solo's is more important than buffing killers. Killers can choose to play Nurse or Spirit. Solo players can choose to... Magically become the kind of person that isn't fazed be terrible teammates, no co-ordination, constant death and generally impossible trials.

Solo buff has been requested for ages by this point, it's an urgency.
We buff the killers first and then you can expect killer queue simulator, because the pacing of the updates makes it tediously long.
Solos have to deal with either ultimate potato teammates, who crouch at the corners of the map, or let you die on first hook, or even the guy who just suicides first hook, or AFK dudes.
Meanwhile Killer has nobody to worry about, so...
I think the priority is pretty clear here, it's not the killers who have to struggle with bots.

I'd say the buffs need to be in the same patch.
Buff solo's without buffing killers, killers leave.
Buff killers without buffing solo's, solo's leave.
Either way, community is hurt. gotta be a balance and a gentle touch when doing things like this.

I don't have troubles finding matches in either role. During certain times of the day either queue might get a little longer, but never disfunctional.

There's no problem with buffing solos since they'll never be as strong as any coordinated SWF. What makes SWF strong is not really the information they have but the chance to have 4 great players who know each other in every match they play.
Buffing solos mean giving them more tools to share information SWF gets for granted, that doesn't change the fact that you're playing with 3 stranges who can do whatever crazy gameplay they want or just be bad. It's not like we want the solo buffs to be free baseline DS, DH, BT in every game, that would be terrible and no help with the issues of that is coordination.
Also I don't think there's any big lack of killers you speak of, at least I haven't seen any in my games. Ques are about as quick as they're supposed to be, it used to be much worse a few years prior.

Well buddy i really have to agree with you. So many times i am taking killer on me because my mate is dead on hook. So i am taking killer myself for that. And so many times i am dying on hook for that. Because noone comes help. They are not doing gen or anything. Just crouching around. New MMR will be last chance for this game. I will stay or leave.

it always amazes me that blendettes that hyper-immerse like that ever get out of rank 20

๐Priorities people!๐
1) Solo Queue fix
2) Killers Balance fix
3) Nerf SWF
Killers shouldn't come first because everybody with a single brain cell knows killers' experience is WAY better than a solo survivor.

just, no. killers are strong enough and killers are not dwindling, playing killer is the easiest it's ever been, long survivor queue times late at night =/= not enough killers, it just means there are more survivors later at night

Im sure they will buff solo, however I donโt think they will compensate by buffing killer in return. They are deathly afraid of buffing killer cause survivors are their bread and butter. If โKiller too OP!โ Starts coming out even if solo is buffed then survivors may leave and that means they wonโt spend money on cosmetics. Killers are a minority of players and they donโt spend a lot of money on cosmetics cause itโs first person.

The problem I see is how do you buff solo Q without inadvertently buffing SWF and continuing this cycle where neither side is happy with balance? Wouldn't that revert a lot of the changes the dev team has made to the game since it's inception and send it back to square 1 essentially? To me, solo Q was good when there were strong survivor perks that benefited Solo Q players. If it benefited solo q then it also benefited stacks, which amplified the strength of these individual perks when coordinated amongst a team of survivors. Look at the old BT for example, that was a very good perk to have when Q'ing up solo, but its considered a problem in numbers. The old SC is another one because it was just a good generic perk to have as solo when you didn't have to dedicate a almost whole build to making that 1 perk better. That's what we've moved away from in terms of gameplay, so keeping balance in mind, what would need to be included in a solo Q buff?

Just to name a few, obsession in each match, some kind of semi-totem counter, more ways to communicate (for example new system with set phrases like it's in identity V), possibly small obsession claws for everyone to notify who is gettnig chased etc.
Things that SWF already has and won't do almost anything for them. I don't think straight up giving survivors perks like bond or kindred is the proper way to go about this so some if not all of these changes would imo really help with solo que.

Solo doesn't need buffs it just needs the SBM put in place so you get decent teammates.
I only play solo and the only time I struggle is if my team aren't efficient on gens or in chases. If they know to spread out on gens then solos not that bad tbh.

Leave solo's alone. I win some I lose some. If solo's work together efficiently, they'll escape. Any weaknesses in the team will cost them the game. I like the challenges solo throws up at me. I don't have friends to play with anyway lol

Not all killers want to play Nurse or Spirit.
0 -
But the choice is still there. A choice solo's don't have.

Or, better yet. Do them at the same time? Either way it's going to be miserable for one side or the other. Better to do it at the same time that way its hopefully less miserable.

at this point I dont really care about the order as long as it happens

Just give Survivors a voice Chat (ingame) and then buff killers slightly ir nerf survivors slightly (real swf). This needs ti be gentle. I could imagine just tweak it and then review it and tweak it again if something needs to be adjusted. This has not to happen in ONE Patch. Its better, we get constant small improvements, then many changes which will affect every other change in a bad way.

You could say solos can choose to make friends and play in swf :P

Length of time in the queue changes depending on region, rank, day of the week, time of day, etc. For me, during the day, survivor is instant, but in the evening killer is instant. Queue times fluctuate for a lot of reasons.
Optimal order of events:
Fix matchmaking. For gods[BAD WORD]ing sake implement skill-based matchmaking so we can all get an idea of the game's actual balance.
Subtly buff solo survivors by giving them more info. We don't need to turn them into seal team 6 or anything, but c'mon, even when I'm playing killer I don't have fun if the survivors are uncoordinated and constantly butting heads, doing my job for me.
Buff killers to compensate as needed. Obviously.
Matchmaking first, though. Attempting to balance the game is pointless (and impossible) when skilled players and potatoes are in the same lobby. An unskilled killer will of course be screwed against skilled survivors, there's nothing to learn from that. And one potato survivor can bring down three skilled ones, I know, I've been that potato: it's surprisingly easy to get everyone killed at 5 gens left.
