Faced Scratched Mirror Myers For The First Time
Just had my first match against a Myers using a scratched mirror build.
I suspected a stealth killer due to the fact he offered a Midwich map offering.
But man I hadn't been that scared in a long time, I made sure he couldn't grab me off gens etc, but those jump scares lol.
Is there any way to counter this in solo queue, without using spine chill?

No not really. Scratched mirror Myers on an indoor map(Exept "The Game") does not really have a counter exept Spine Chill and maybe blood Pact.

Uh, wrong site mate.

What?

Thanks, I guess spine chill is the only way.
Guess it's best to expect the jump scares if the killer offers an indoor map and isn't doctor lol.
Defo wanna try this build as killer xD

I mean....a map offering or ward will do it; but other than that spine chill is about it.
Jump Scare myers is actually kinda strong on certain indoor maps; it's absolute hot garbage on any other map.
I don't know why you would ever want to counter it though; it's probably one of the few rare enjoyable things to happen in DBD.

I guess your right it is a unique experience xD
I was just spooked as I turn a corner and his just there staring menacingly.
Definitely wanna try this build as killer.

Scratched mirror Myers definetely has counters.
The most important one is to be really careful of your positioning.
Always try to position yourself in a way that let you see him before he can get to you.
Also, his breathing is VERY noticeable if you pay attention.
Myers is reliant on getting these jump scared to get his kills because he can't really chase you with that super slow movement speed

Actually, scratched mirror has a massive, massive counter: game sense.
Once you've played a little as/against scratched mirror, you'll know what he's going to do next. You'll know where he's likely hiding, how far he can go, what angles he'll take to stay out of sight, etc. I never really find I have a problem with him, though apparently my teammates always do.

As a Myers main, I would say keep running. Many people like to stop to get a quick scan of his potential location, giving him an easy hit.
If you’re working on a gen try to position yourself where you have a view of almost or all angles. I know this one is tricky, but if you prioritize based on when you aren’t being chased, always attempt to do those gens where he could get an easy grab first.
A very good perk I would recommend is Empathy, so you base your moves around when someone else is being chased.

Thanks for the tips!
The Myers player would go to where I was heading, wait for me to come to him then BOO!
Too freaked out to notice the audio cues, but I'll take it into account the next time I meet him.
His speed was probably the reason he actively didn't chase me, he made me go to him.

Thanks!
First time so yes I do lack experience against this, gonna try it myself to get a sense of it and it does seem like fun.
My teammates were so scared they either crouched walked or tried to hide :/

Thanks!
I did consider the best position when I was doing gens, the person playing Myers only tried to go for you if you were on a gen, he stopped chase instantly as soon as I ran.
Most of the time he just waited for the survivors to come for him. Only when they were crouching/hiding did he actively go to them.
I was using bond which did slightly help, but I'll give Empathy a go!

Fun is subjcetive though.

Well, I take it back. Just had a toxic myers that ran jumpscare except he had an all slug build and only slugged everyone; even when everyone was dead he made sure to make the last people bleed out too even though the match was over. They then proceed to trash and insult everyone post game after making everyone bleed out.
So thanks to him, I might be dodging those games going forward. Thanks rando PC player; you've ruined jump scare myers for me forever.

"I don't know why you would ever want to counter it though; it's probably one of the few rare enjoyable things to happen in DBD."
I agree, as long as the Myers is not just camping. Sadly a good bunch of them are doing it like "I have 0 TR, so I camp". It is not enjoyable by default, Mirror Myers can be very fun to go against, but depends how they are playing.
@Topic:
You need to be aware. This is the first thing, need to be aware were he might be. Also, listen, Myers is breathing very loud, so you might even hear him.
What is important is, when he hits you, get as much distance as possible. Mirror-Myers is super-slow (4,2 m/s, just 5% faster than Survivors) so you can basically loop him around every Pallet, because he has a short lunge as well. Like, some Pallets which are weak can become a problem for Mirror-Myers.
Being aware and keeping in mind that he is loopable are also two things when it comes to healing - dont heal in some Corner, heal somewhere where a Pallet is nearby and where you have a good view in every direciton. E.g. on Midwich, you can be in those long Rooms where a Pallet is in the center, if you are able to see both doors, it should be fine to heal. But if you heal somewhere without any Pallets nearby or when you cannot see in certain directions, he might just pop up from there and get you.

Read the first part of my last post.
And yeah, I never had an issue with it before but people had always run normal builds, in this case the person was using it as a toxicity tool and not playing anywhere near a normal game- also the behavior in post game chat and in game was all meant to be toxic. They went into the match with one objective and it was to grief people.

Thanks for the advice!
The Myers wasn't camping, just for context the killer was rank 1 and I was rank 8 (my teammates were 1 green rank and 2 brown, gotta love that Matchmaking)
I usually always heal near pallets regardless of the killer, if I meet this build again I'll be sure to keep a not of pallet locations or just run WoO.

What I love about Empathy is the huge range at which you are able to see where survivors (most likely those being chased are) then you can work on a gen opposite from that, and if they stop to heal or something, then you know Michael is no longer on them and has switched. In a map like The Game (which is very small) you are guaranteed to be able to see auras map-wide. Unlike bond which has a 32 meter range.
Also, it’s main purpose is to spot the injured so you are able to also heal them if need be, which against a SM Michael it becomes crucial to be able to stay healthy and take a hit.

FYI, Empathy's range is map-wide*.
*Although it has a 128-meter radius, there is no map bigger than that, thereby making its radius map-wide.

Thanks I've very rarely used Empathy, I'll give it a try!

Now that is scary!
